Just a beat. I made it while procrastinating recording vocals for another track. I took a nap then had this cool idea of an image and a song that went along with it. I used Grok Imagine for the images. I made the track in FL (no AI in the making of the track, only the photos) First full beat I made in a while since my meme song O.M.M.C. But this one I made really fast lol. Not refined or polished but simple idea and I made it fast. My criteria for success was "does it sound like the cover" Could also name it something like "Underwoods" or smthn.

"Can't" being used metaphorically... I haven't been able to figure out how to get gigs on my own that well or efficiently. @Kj Sawka I could use your help here. I've messaged people and maybe I just need to do more follow up but I would really love to get more DJ gigs and experience. I don't know what the hell to say to businesses that I approach. I don't have that much experience yet but I can definitely DJ and have done it for events I don't know how to sell it though or what to send. Same with music gigs. What do I say? "Hey, I want to play at your venue for money. How can we make this happen?” That's the most simple version I can think of lol. What would it take to play here? What could I say to not get stuck in email hell and waiting for email and get something booked? I feel like I need help being held accountable and maybe going over what I need to do and build to have consistent gigs in this area. I have an issue where people are interested or they'll book one gig but not more than 1 even if it goes well, or they'll book it WAYYY later. Or they'll book it after a LOOOT of chasing. Anyways, I'm looking for guidance.

So since I joined the group I had a call with KJ and am excited to meet you guys more. On the call me and KJ went over a bit of everything including going over my north stars (Sofi Tukker, Skrillex, Griz). For me my goal isn't to try to be them. It's to be me and taking what makes sense to me from their process. What I did this week: 1. A bit of research into their back stories 2. Bought a pop filter for my microphone 3. Started recording vocals for one of my songs "You & Me" and touching daw again (FL) Also was still busking AND touched Grok Bot for the first time which is pretty useful but it's usage gets used up to fast...

I have the audio Technica m50x wnd my song was sounding good but realized after playing on my monitors the song sounds TOTALLY different. Are they broken? There's like zero bass in these things. It sounds totally flat and vs on real speakers it sounds totally different! I'm on windows 11 with my focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I use FL (official version not ripped). Maybe I'm missing a setting or something?

Worked on my song You & Me. Only main instrument and raw vocals. Going to buy pop-filter today
