Does anyone have any good suggestions on how I would write something about landscape (details of geography etc) for a planet that has been artificially made?

Across every world, at the exact same moment, all sound stops. No voices, no wind, no birds, no machines, absolute silence. It lasts for three minutes… then everything returns to normal. In your world, what caused it, and how do people explain it?
