Haha, co-authors always have big ideas, don’t they? Ten chapters would be wild, but sometimes you just have to stick to your gut as the storyteller.

I totally get where you’re coming from about platforms too. Dreame and Alphanovel can be fun, but going big with KDP or another wider platform definitely gives your book more reach and long-term potential. I think you made the right call
