Native Instruments in Trouble
Hi folks. Looks like NI are in financial trouble. Wonder what that’s going to mean for all of us Kontakt and Isotope users. ???

What's your favorite DAW?
Hey everyone, here is a little action post I want to initiate: I am aware that a DAW is always a matter of taste. I am also aware that a DAW is only as good as the composer and in the end it really doesn't matter because the outcome is what really counts. Howeverrrrrrrrr .... 1. What is your favorite DAW/What is the DAW you are using? 2. Briefly explain why you like it or what features you like it for? Go! :)

Hi Folks. I am using Protools Studio 2025.12. Been a certified user since 2004. Certified to 210M level by Digidesign in 2005 through Pulse Recording College in Dublin. I have looked seriously at moving to Cubase, but I feel that I have invested a great deal (time and money) in PT, and can cover all the practical techniques that I see as Cubase strengths. That may change in future if I find any inflexibility in PT against other DAWs. As my knowledge and abilities become stronger, I still feel comfortable with PT.

Musio 1 is my main go to for composing. Particularly like the solo instruments. Been using it for about 9 months now and have zero complaints or issues. A very comprehensive and flexible platform.

Mature (not old) composer, musician, teacher. Now in semi retirement, I have turned my focus to composing cinematic music.
