Self-Compassion Friday
Midlife is not a time to push yourself harder — it’s a time to partner with your body differently. Today’s reflection: What’s one thing you’re learning to be kinder to yourself about? Name it here.Let’s normalize self-compassion.

Catching myself when I’m tired and giving myself permission to stop and take a nap. Even 15-20 minutes makes a big difference.
The Thing I Wish Someone Told Me About Menopause…
Let’s share wisdom with each other. Finish this sentence in the comments:“The thing I wish someone told me about perimenopause/menopause is…” Your answers may help another woman feel less alone today. I'll start.

This makes me think of my Mother. Back in her day it became popular to do hysterectomies, many of them needless. That makes me feel angry.

@Jennifer Seven most likely.
“Let’s Talk Cortisol”**
If you’ve noticed new belly fat in midlife, it’s not “willpower.” It’s often cortisol, and midlife bodies become more sensitive to it. Today’s reflection: Where does stress show up in your body first? Neck? Shoulders? Chest? Belly? Jaw? Thoughts? Awareness is step one — share your patterns below.

I’m aware of it coursing through my nervous system and it may end up in my neck, shoulders, jaw, stomach.
“Micro-Win Monday”**
Let’s start the week with something gentle. What’s one small win from last week that you’re proud of? Anything counts — truly. • You rested • You set a boundary • You added protein • You walked • You didn’t push yourself past your limits Your small win matters. I’ll go first. Tell us in the comments.

@Jennifer Seven insulated pants make a big difference! I walk my dog also so I’m out in every weather. And I love my neck gaiter.
"Light Nutrition Tip"**
Let’s keep it simple today. Add one source of protein to one meal.That’s it. Your body will respond with steadier energy, fewer cravings, and more stability. If you do it today, share what you added — or tell us your easiest protein go-to.

I like to find ways to add hemp hearts into my diet. Generally 3 Tbl has 10 grams of protein and 12 grams of omega 3 & 6. A good source of manganese, magnesium, phosphors, folate, B6, riboflavin, thiamin, potassium and iron. I add it to cereal, homemade bread, muffins, cookies, etc.
