Yeah that’s great for me bud, 8pm your time or??? Either way I’ll be on there, minds working overtime after yesterdays happenings…..in a good way though…thought I’d be more stressed if I’m honest ha ha…..something to be said about getting older 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

@Anthony Parkin ha ha, I thought that when I hit my 40’s but honestly mate, I’d not thank you to be 20 again ha ha, learned a lot about mindset last few years and starting to feel excited about the future………no idea AT ALL what it holds yet but hey…….im gonna make sure its fun finding out 😉😁. Have a great day and I’ll look forward to the call tomorrow 👍🏻
Broken for nothing
Evening gents, well…….. today has been a bit of a shitter, I’ve worked since I was 15 and for the last 3 years I’ve worked a full time job and ran my own business, I had invasive surgery in April this year for bilateral Inguinal hernias (2 massive lumps in my groin) and because of the surgery and complications am still in recovery……I’m still employed and have my business but because I’m unable to work, today I’ve had to do something I’ve never done in 47 years…….I've had to claim benefits 🤦🏻‍♂️, so now I’m starting to stress about money, I’ve paid into the system for years and what they give you is a slap in the face 😔, have any of you guys experienced or are you experiencing anything similar? I feel quite frustrated and emasculated I’m unable to work at the minute, so want to know how you coped??

@Anthony Parkin cheers man, aye it is annoying knowing there’s people who just don’t work because they can get benefits. Sorry mate, for some reason I had in my head you had another job 🤦🏻‍♂️, and yeah….I've been lucky enough to be able to subsidise SSP with savings but like you say it’s drying up fast!! I just can’t believe that after so many years putting into the system and finally genuinely needing help I get NI based contributions. £95 a week, it’s unreal. I know I’ll survive and I still have a roof etc, but it’s just adding to the disillusion of working 60-80 hour weeks 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m thinking I need to get some different income streams that don’t take so much time and physical energy but I dunno where to start ha ha.

@Anthony Parkin 100% mate 👌🏻
Monday. Here we go again lads!
I´m feeling flat as a fart today, and I know I´m not the only one. When I´m feeling a bit shit I constantly have to remind myself that I don't need to have my whole life sorted this week. You don't need some massive transformation. Just do a few things that make you feel like you're back in control. Get outside. Move your body. Eat something decent. Sort one thing you've been putting off. And if your head's all over the place, talk to someone. That's what this place is for. No pretending we've got it all figured out. No bullshit. Just a bunch of blokes trying to get ourselves back on track. What's one thing you're going to do for yourself this week? Doesn't have to be massive. Drop it below. 👊🏻 P.S...I am going to arrange another group call this week. Anyone wanting to get on it and just talk things out and get to know each other a bit, let me know what days and times would be good for you and I will try and arrange a time to suit everyone. Cheers lads, Hope you all have a good day!

Ola!!! Aye, I’m feeling a bit like that today tbh, but I’m just off out for a walk and I’ve got some work to do on me car that I’ve been putting off, but I’ve chosen to get that done this week. I think I’m getting into “journaling” 🤔, unexpected tbh but I’ve written loads down past week and a bit and it’s true what they say, get its out of your head, who knew 🤷🏻‍♂️😂.

@Anthony Parkin nice one, it looks stunning where you are btw, I love it over that way, I try to get to Stockholm and Gothenburg every year so not too far from where you’re at.. Yeah, a mate of mine is a sound healer , I thought it was a load of tosh to begin with tbh but then started to have HZ Music on in the background when I’m in the house and it really does help with stress, that’s why I figured I’d give journaling a go….can’t hurt 🤷🏻‍♂️. Anyhoo marra,, enjoy your hike, you’ll feel a million dollars after it I’m sure 👌🏻
Take 2?
Hello lads, it’s great to be here with likeminded blokes, I’m 47 from Newcastle upon Tyne, I’ve worked since I was 14 and literally broken my body doing so, back surgeries, hernia surgeries, snapped fingers and on and on 🤷🏻‍♂️😂. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully helping a few of you along the way……..looking forward to change in my life 👍🏻

@Anthony Parkin tbh, a lot…..starting with my health tbh, but like you call it……a reset……I’ve been chasing my youth for years, I was a pro musician while working full time and I’ve always thought the stage is where I should be…..but I realised last year…..I don’t enjoy even playing anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️ it was that that opened the can of worms , I want different things now, a different way of life…..the simple things, but most….i just want to enjoy me life.
