Looking for advice
Confidence is something I definitely struggle with, but I've been working on it a lot. There is one particular question that always trips me up. When a potential client asks "how many births have you supported?" I'm pretty new to this and have supported only 1 mom so far. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to frame it while being honest, but not highlighting the lack of experience.

@Stephanie LaDuke yes. My first client asked me after the consult, over text. I was able to think about my wording "You would be my first paying client, but I have advocated for myself, friends and family in an unofficial capacity for the last four years. I officially got certified as a doula in a October of last year, and have spent countless hours learning and researching. Making sure pregnant women receive the best care is a passion of mine" She really appreciated the answer and booked with me. I find when I'm put on the spot it's a lot harder to find my voice or I sound unsure of myself

Introduction
Hi everyone. I'm Stephanie. I'm a birth doula and childbirth educator in Manitoba, Canada. It started as a passion project that I decided to turn into a business about a year ago. I worked on building an Instagram account, a website, and a blog, but I feel like I'm not having traction in finding clients. I have only supported 1 mom so far, and I am wanting to make this a regular income for me.
Used the elevator pitch and booked a client!
Hi everyone! I loved attending my first 6 figure sisterhood zoom call on Monday, it gave me a lot of inspiration and sparked some questions I had for myself. I used the elevator pitch as a way to market my postpartum doula services specifically to moms expecting their 2nd, 3rd, etc baby and received interest almost immediately! (Let me know your thoughts on the post and what I could do differently?)I went on to messaging the mama who was interested, set up a consult the same evening, and booked her on the spot. I really feel like I've found my niche, as a lot of doulas in my area do not offer help with siblings, and I feel super passionate about this kind of support. One thing that Lisa brought up on the zoom that I continued to think about, was how we should not offer services that make it hard to keep a set boundary or explain clearly. I think with sibling doula support, those lines can often become blurred between doula and childcare. I have parameters in place that make it clear that I am not to take over sole responsibility of siblings as I am in the home, but I am curious what others' thoughts are on this and what may be worth mentioning? Thank you!

I just joined the community and am looking forward to figuring out how to get seen in my community. I like this post. It clearing states what you're about without rambling and has a calm inviting nature. Was this posted on your Instagram account or where did you post to market yourself?
