Sorry I have not been around much lately. At home I have been dealing with a very poorly 5 year old which has resulted in constant night time waking. The result is I have been exhausted and not really able to focus on producing any content at all. Remember that it is always ok to take care of yourself above any business obligations. It is one of the things I struggle with the most and then feel guilty for not being around. So this year I am leaning into the release of guilt. Last night, one of the strays I feed — a little cat named Cali — stretched herself along my porch wall, right across from my front door. She wasn’t looking for food or calling out… just resting there, perfectly still, eyes half-open, like she was keeping watch. The moment caught me. Because spiritually, cats are threshold keepers. They sense energy before we do. They sit where the seen and unseen meet. Her placement — high on the wall, facing my door — felt like a message: “I’m holding the doorway while you transition.” It wasn’t protection from danger, but rather a calm assurance: something new is moving toward you, and I’ve got eyes on it. Cats often appear when energy is shifting — when we’re about to step through an invisible gate in our journey. Cali reminded me that not every guardian stands tall or roars loudly.
