I love this month’s theme — Joy and Celebration feels so needed right now. Week 1 already has my mind going with bright colors and playful ideas. Nehemiah 8:10 has been sitting with me too… the reminder that joy is strength, not just a feeling. I’m excited to create from a place of gratitude and let these verses shape the mood of each piece. June is about to be beautiful. 🎨✨
Apology
Good Morning everyone, I have been slacking lately due to my mom's funeral and closing of her estate etc...I have not been able to keep up and I just wanted to apologize. For future reference-- in the classroom there is an entire list of monthly prompts for the year. Welcome to all new members..please feel free to post your art, questions and breakthroughs!

Please don’t apologize at all. You’re walking through something incredibly heavy, and taking care of your mom’s funeral and estate is emotionally exhausting. You’ve shown up with so much heart for this community, and you deserve the space to grieve, rest, and breathe. Thank you for letting us know, and for everything you’ve already poured into this group. We’re here, we’re not going anywhere, and we’re keeping you lifted in prayer. Sending you love and comfort as you navigate this season.** 💛
March Week 1
Week 1: Sculpt or draw an image of a mountain and depict yourself overcoming it. Philippians 4:13 —“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I recently finished this-- a 20x24in Mixed Media Oil Painting, titled, "Anxious for Nothing" The next level of therapy... "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 I don't know if anyone else struggles with anxiety and anxiousness..but this piece came at the right time for me to finish and be inspired by God once again...as He continues to remind be Be Anxious for Nothing!

“This is beautiful — both the piece and the testimony behind it. ‘Anxious for Nothing’ feels like such a powerful visual reminder of what God keeps whispering to us in the moments we feel overwhelmed. I love how you turned the mountain into something you could face creatively and spiritually at the same time. Thank you for sharing this — it inspires me to keep overcoming what’s in front of me with God’s strength.”

@Susan Martinez “Thank you for sharing this, sis. It’s amazing how God will meet us right in the middle of what we think is ‘not good enough’ and breathe purpose into it. The way He turned this piece into your next level of therapy is powerful. Sometimes the healing is hidden in the parts we want to scrap. ‘Anxious for Nothing’ is such a timely word, and your obedience in finishing it shows how the Great Physician works through our hands even when our hearts feel heavy. I can’t wait to see what He continues to reveal through this piece.”
March: Overcoming Challenges
✨ Theme: Strength, perseverance, victory in Christ. Week 1: Sculpt or draw an image of a mountain and depict yourself overcoming it. Philippians 4:13 —“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Week 2: Create art using materials that represent resilience (e.g., stone, metal). Isaiah 41:10 —“Fear not… I will uphold you." Week 3: Paint a storm and then a rainbow to symbolize overcoming adversity. Psalm 18:2 —“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.” Week 4: Make a piece inspired by a woman you admire who has overcome great challenges. Romans 8:37 —“In all these things we are more than conquerors."

“This month’s theme is speaking to me deeply. Week by week, I can feel God strengthening me to face what once felt too heavy. • Week 1 reminds me that every mountain I’ve overcome has shown me His strength in me. • Week 2 calls me to create from resilience — the parts of me that didn’t break. • Week 3 feels like my testimony: storms I’ve survived and the promise that followed. • Week 4 inspires me to honor the women who paved the way with courage. I’m grateful for a month that lets us create, heal, and rise through every challenge.”

I love the blend of faith, art, and community here. I’d love to see more creative prompts, journaling ideas, and spaces for us to share what we’re working on. Grateful to be here.”
