As we are constantly shifting and growing, I am finding that there are a lot of things in my life I tolerate that drain me. Getting rid of some of these things is lifting a heavy weight... For example, I have been making dinner AND cleaning it up. My daughter helps me cook. Then everyone walks away after putting their dish in the sink. No offer to clean dishes. "When did this happen?" When I allowed it! So last night, I finished my plate and said "since the girls cooked the boys are cleaning right?" I got a smirk, a roll of the eyes, and they got to work while I read to a book. Sometimes all I have to do is open my mouth. It is less work than carrying an angry grudge. What do you need to stop tolerating today?

Well, kid’s virus vs. mom’s sleep is 0-3 . I’m exhausted and just praying for this thing to pass. Why is it taking so long for her to get better!! Was feeling SOO just tired and out of gas, so I decided, let me just try to start my morning with my Bible study book rather than scroll my phone and wouldn’t you know the next chapter in my book to read was by chance all about patience for God’s plan. Knowing He is with me ALL THE TIME, and having patience for what you need. How He never leaves us even when we feel helpless and tired, and it’s our job to just be still, and wait to hear him. Wow what a sign. He knew exactly what I’d need this morning but it was my job to choose HIS word today over mindless scrolling. He is there to give me the exact support and fill my tank when it’s empty IF I’m willing to choose HIM, spend the time with HIM over anything else. Feeling thankful and reenergized knowing He’s got me. He’s here for me in long sleepless nights. Thankful I am awake to the fact that choosing Him will always be the answer to my bad days and my good ones too. Have a blessed day and choose Him today.
