ISED just launched "AI Compute Access Fund". Here’s what you need to know
Hi Folks, Heads up: the government (ISED) launched the "AI Compute Access Fund" to accelerate the commercialization of new AI products. The fund offers $100K to $5M over up to 3 years, covering up to 67% of eligible compute costs. To qualify, a company must be Canadian-incorporated, fewer than 500 employees, have R&D activities based in Canada, and show commercial traction either through revenue or Series A. You’ll need a compute services contract or quote in place. The window of application is short: opens June 25 and closes July 31, 2025. Go, go, go! gozigzag.com
gozigzag.com is the 2nd of the 3 AIs I learned of and adopted this week. It is an AI-driven tool designed to assist entrepreneurs in validating startup ideas efficiently. Simple website, no sign up or fee!!

This is very interesting and different.
Fyxer
I just learned of Fyxer earlier this week (it's 1 of 3 new AIs I learned of and adopted this week) and so far it's all I'd hoped it would be and more. It's the AI I've been looking for. Sharing incase you have been too. They also offer a referral link which I've dropped at the bottom (hope that's ok) It's - Inbox Organization: - Personalized Email Drafting: - Meeting Note-Taking: - Learns from your communication patterns to improve over time, adapting to your voice and preference https://fyxer.ai?r=stephanie74&src=REFERRAL&location=DASHBOARD

I recently had the pleasure of mentoring Derek Hatchard during the latest Energia Ventures accelerator cohort at UNB Fredericton. Derek is the founder of Posthaste, a product with the big ambition to consolidate all your input signals into a universal AI-managed and prioritized inbox. So far they integrate with GMail and Slack. According to Gartner's hype cycle, gen-AI solutions are going through the "peak of inflated expectations" and may enter the "trough of disillusionment" during 2025. Some of these productivity apps will be bought by Microsoft, Google, Meta, Amazon, etc., in a consolidation phase, but the majority will cease to exist within the next couple of years. Something similar, with less fanfare, is happening in the business management platforms world, with the proliferation of niche CRMs, ERPs, etc., for specific industry verticals. This past couple of weeks I have been experimenting with Otter.ai and with Decisions. I bought a one-year subscription to Otter, which has become my to go note taking app in both, online and in-person meetings. As per Decisions, I think I will like it due to its natural integration with MS365, but it takes a bit of a learning and adaptation curve.
Two AI agents walk into a bar ...
sit beside each other, order drinks and then realize they’re both bots. They skip the intros, ignore the drinks, and switch to rapid-fire gibberish. This is not sci-fi: Anton Pidkuiko and Boris Starkov’s GibberLink experiment, using ggwave and ElevenLabs AI voices, lets two AIs detect each other and instantly switch to a faster, cryptic communication method. I’m not surprised they prioritize efficiency, but it’s still a bit scary to watch them reveal their true colors.
No Virtual Coffee Tomorrow (Feb 21st)
Hi folks, I ran out of time this week and needed Friday morning for some client work. I'm presenting at LeanCon next week about the role culture plays with AI adoption... I'll be recording the dry run and will share here next week! If you had any questions or discussions you were planning for tomorrow, comment below and we'll continue the conversation asynchronously! Robert P.S. If you think anyone in your network would enjoy joining this community, please share skool.com/ai-first with them, I would really appreciate it!
