Questions/Discussions on Comics Book Operations
So, I have finished my first comic book script and was curious about next steps. Starting a comic company and writing comics is all still new to me, so any guidance & leadership is welcomed. Currently, I am working on a new comic hero named Bishop. The series may be a 5-part (depending on how the writing goes. It's all a work in progress, so I'm taking my time with the steps to get the comic to print. But, I'm totally stoked about it! Thanks in advance and welcome...to the Wonaverse!

🔥 Congrats on finishing your first script — that’s the hardest part most creators never get past. Bishop already sounds like a great anchor for the Wonaverse. Quick next steps to keep momentum: - Lock your pipeline: Script → thumbnails → pencils → inks → colors → letters. Even a simple checklist keeps the project moving. - Define your visual style early: Gather refs for Bishop + the world before hiring an artist. Saves a TON of revisions. - Decide print specs upfront: Page count, paper type, and format affect everything down the line. - Start sharing the journey: Sketches, lore drops, behind-the-scenes — early fans = buyers on Day 1. You’re doing it right by taking your time and building intentionally.Stoked to see Bishop and the Wonaverse come to life. 💥🔥
Introduce Yourself (All Intros Here!)
Welcome to the Concept to Comic™ Academy! This is where we’re building a community of creators who want to level up their stories, sharpen their skills, and take real steps toward building long-term success using our favorite medium - Comics! Let’s kick things off the right way. Drop your introduction in the comments below. Tell us who you are, what you’re working on, and what brought you here. Doesn’t need to be formal. Just be real. A few prompts if you want them: - Where are you from? - What kind of stories do you love creating? - What are you working on right now (or hoping to start)? - What’s the big dream behind your project? - And if you want, share something outside of comics. Fitness goals, hobbies, anything that makes you… you. This group is here to help you learn new skills, stay consistent, and connect with other creators who are taking their work seriously. The more you put into this community, the more you’ll get out of it. I’m glad you’re here. Now, jump in and introduce yourself!
