And what kind of pick do you like to use? I go over my favorite and recommended technique for holding the pick, which works for so many musicians, but is a little tricky to get used to at first. I'd love to know if you think I'm nuts for recommending everybody holds the pick this way. 🙃

Did you learn scales first then songs or did you have to learn a scale because of the song your were working on? If you’ve ever seen the video of the guy flying up and down the guitar playing *all* the scales and wondered… Should I be able to do that? I’m here to let you in on a little secret. Scales are tools, just like a metronome, just like our infamous spider exercise. Great to know, but unless they’re used for creating music, there kinda pointless. I always say. Song first... Scales Second. Pick a song that uses a scale then your learning that scale and applying it. This is the way 😂

So we all know that band that everyone seems to be obsessed with but you just can’t get into. Not sure about you but Abba is a hard pass for me. I know, I know...they write hit songs, and it's fun, and everyone can sing along... They've just never connected with me.
