I'm Back......
Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for not being here. I was in hospital the last week. So I'm on the mend and looking forward to seeing how you all have been,......how have you all been? Anything fun or interesting you'd like to share???

Welcome back! I'd say "Nothing serious, I hope," but I've never heard of recreational hospital stays. How about "Nothing you can't fully recover from?"

@Kirsten Mathews That's ... a lot. 😲 Wishing you a speedy recovery with enough momentum that you carry yourself into better shape than you were when you started.
I'm getting a new iPhone! (Or not.)
This one came in today. The Paypal portion approximates legitimacy, but 1) the return email address does not match the name. 2) "Call to cancel" is not how iPhone purchases work. For the practice of it, what else are you spotting?

@Tracy Stephenson Right? And I have never had a merchant for a large, legitimate purchase double-check my intentions. They're always too happy to take my money.
šŸ•µļøā€ā™€ļø Scam-Free Monday: Caffeine, Common Sense, and Caution!
Happy Monday, Scam Fighters! ā˜•šŸ’Ŗ If you’ve already checked your email before your first cup of coffee… you’re braver than most of us. šŸ˜… Remember — scammers love Mondays too. They’re counting on us being half-awake and ready to believe ā€œyour account has been suspendedā€ before the caffeine hits. So this week, let’s fight back with a smile and some street smarts: 🚫 Don’t click strange links — even if it promises free coffee (nothing’s THAT good). 🧠 Question urgency — ā€œAct now!ā€ usually means ā€œScam now!ā€ šŸ“ž Hang up happily — if someone pressures you on the phone, your best move might just be a polite click! Let’s make it our mission to outsmart the scammers — one sip and one smart choice at a time. Drop a ā˜• in the comments if you’re starting your day scam-free! This week’s challenge: šŸ‘‰ Share one red flag you’ve spotted recently (an email, text, or call) so we can all learn from it! #ScamFreeMonday #TogetherAgainstScams #WakeUpAndWiseUp

INVESTMENT SCAMS 🚨
Investment scams, particularly in cryptocurrency, are rampant on social media. This was the scam I fell for. I did my 'research' and I thought I was ok to proceed. I was not and I lost thousands of dollars. Scammers promise high returns with little risk and often create a sense of urgency. We know this!! Research and I mean research any investment opportunity thoroughly and avoid sending money to anyone who contacts you directly on social media. Has anyone here been affected by a cryptocurrency scam??

@Kirsten Mathews Had not heard of that. I will have to check it out. Last time I was watching anti-scam stuff on YouTube, it was Jim Browning’s channel. But his stuff is WAY beyond my skill level. Thanks for the tip!

@Tracy Stephenson I will do that. Thank you!

@Kirsten Mathews No judgement intended. I meant that it’s low for scammers to go fishing on legit job sites.

I got one! They're not pretending to be Amazon, but the scheme appears to be the same. I looked up that +63 international code: Philippines. Has anyone here applied, knowing it's a scam, just to see how the process works?
