I am working on using bottle tops and bottoms for my Saturday clas. I have added some yellow petals to make a sunflower. I also have a video on how this is done. It’s one of those Crazy nocturnal wide awake activities that had to be done at 3a.m. I am actually wearing my dressing gown so I do apologise. What a lovely turn out today and some exciting projects being worked too! Quite a few children have now made enough progress to use the Cordmaker. We are threading beads, and crocheting them on their chain lengths. Easter was fun with quite few Easter baskets made. The Easter chick pictures were popular with beginners. Two of the older ones were making cat toys, No patterns , just fun fidgets. We will work on making fun masks soon. Some have mastered the bullion stitch which is so easy to do with the latch hook. Anyone tried the bullion? It is used a lot in Freeform crochet.

(My friend Jun Yoneto in Japan makes these hooks.) Note: I have found that if you use foam for the base you can hook into the punched Holes of the base using a regular latch hook. For this Easter challenge please post any crocheted basket that you have made. You may follow my idea, follow any pattern or design your own, using any hook. Let me know in the comments if you try to use a regular latch hook to make your basket. Kids love these if they are filled with chocolate eggs!

Latch Hook Crochet Art During Covid 2020 I worked on my own crochet art using a fine latch hook. The one I used came as a latch hook tool for my knitting machine. I loved doing this, but my focus now is on teaching Latch Hook Crochet. I will be introducing more Cordcrochet once I have fathomed the best way to sell my Cordmaker. Moving from Shropshire, selling our smallholding, moving to rented accommodation In North Yorkshire, then buying and moving into our own house has been epic. Being overwhelmed with online learning, finding Skool and now Substack all takes time. CordCrochet will be on the menu and I look forward to sharing this new craft.
