YOUR 5-MINUTE DOCTOR APPOINTMENT GAME PLAN 📋
✨15 minutes with a physician goes fast. Make every second count. The 𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐋𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 helps you prepare and structure your next appointment with your Primary Care Provider before you walk through the door, ensuring your doctor actually hears you. When you are in charge of the visit, you ensure that your voice is heard. This checklist can also be used before an appointment with a specialist. In Ontario, Canada, and many places around the globe, you wait a long time for these appointments. Make them count and leave with all of your questions answered. @Alice Turner Thank you Alice. It is such a necessary part of healthcare, teaching people to be assertive with their providers and advocate for themselves. I see that you have built a huge community of YouTube. Something I have always wanted to do with this but the video fear is huge!

Please Introduce Yourself
One of the most important things I've learned since becoming an online entrepreneur is that the most important thing you can do to grow your business is to build relationships. Many of us (myself included) have rushed to promote our groups and services that we care so deeply about. And it only makes sense - we are excited about what we are doing! Today, I'd like to invite you to take a step back and introduce yourself to the group by answering the following questions: 1. Who are you personally? 2. Who are you professionally? 3. What is something you love doing outside of work? 4. What is something surprising about you? As you open up and make more connections, you will find that not only are people more interested in what you do, but they will also be more interested in helping you make connections with other people they know! 😉 After you introduce yourself, please scroll through the other introductions and add a comment to someone you have something in common with or would like to know more about. 😊 Please add your introduction in the comments below! ⬇️

@Shannon Boyer It was so exciting to post in the classifieds. I did yesterday and today! My community is a resource for people who leave doctor or Primary Care appointments, ERs, specialists, with unanswered questions. I help with understanding of diagnoses, medications, etc. but also self-advocacy and personal care plans. Going to the doctor and understanding what you are told can be challenging.
Although Differences Exist in Healthcare Around The World ...
The one thing we all have in common is how we feel when we leave a doctors office or the office of our Primary Care Provider and do not fully understand what we were told. In Canada healthcare is a human right. In the USA, day-to-day healthcare can be denied if you do not have the means to pay for it, but emergencies are bound by law to stabilize incoming patients. In Europe, healthcare systems provide universal access to care, and are funded through public means—either through general tax revenues or mandatory, government-regulated payroll contributions. Many countries have ombudsmen, people you can complain to if there is an issue. Many have advocates you can go to for help if you have $200 an hour to spend. My goal is to provide the information you wish you had when you left the doctors office with many unanswered questions. Diagnoses clarification, blood results interpretation, imaging explained, in terms you can understand and then help you put together a plan of action that will make you feel empowered. Ask Lynne anything about your health that you have not had explained well by the people who should be and without the concern that your search on Google has ended with false information. https://www.skool.com/ask-lynne-onca-health-adv-1120/about

Detailed information is necessary to make healthcare-related decisions.

Faith I assume you are in the USA. I do not think anyone can blame you for heading straight to the ER. It is an abysmal system there and the people making decisions for your healthcare, things like approval of a CT, often have ZERO medical experience. In my community there is a Confident Care Check List in the Classroom available for everyone. Also look for the post titled Self Advocacy with Your PCP. You might also be interested in a post titled What Does Your Typical Doctor's Appointment look like. I am happy to help you with talking to your doctor so that you are taken seriously.
