A bittersweet goodbye
Hey Friends, in an effort to streamline my life, I am making some hard decisions. One of those is to close The Savvy Savor Collective community. I have recently started a new publication on Substack and am focusing my energies there moving forward. There I'm sharing more of my faith and the journey to simplify life and obedience. I will still have the Youtube channel to support my posts, so if you are interested and in the 'neighborhood', I'd love to have you drop by The Savvy Savor or https://www.youtube.com/@TheSavvySavor Thank you for the support you've shown me here. I wish you all the best and especially those of you who are community owners as well. I'll still be visiting, I just definitely won't be 🔥here. Blessings! Hope

Ooo…. Can you share the link so we can find it?
What is your most prized recipe?
Which go-to, best, top-shelf recipe do you protect with your life? The one you will never share and take to your grave?

None. I've never understood the purpose of protecting recipes - it's not like the people I've known to do this are award winning chefs who make their livelihood with special recipes people can't find anywhere else... The one that comes to mind is an almond tart. It was shared with my mother in love as a special gift in exchange for the promise that she will never share it with anybody. She made it every Christmas for years. And now the recipe is dead to our family because of her promise. I just think that's ridiculous 🤪
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of a great week. I am feeling so much better today and have spent the majority of my day pulling winter clothes down from the attic. My husband and I both have a LOT of culling to do. No way everything I pulled out is going to fit in out closet. Time to get brutal! It may take all week but it's going to happen! Does anyone else feel my pain? Or is it something besides clothes?

I have done a good job over the last few years getting my closet under control - could do a bit more culling but overall, everything fits into our closet. My pantry on the other hand needs some work. Stocked up on stuff that we don’t regularly use and there’s probably a lot of expired stuff now :( We had mice for a while until we got our cat so we put a lot into Rubbermaid tubs and out of sight, out of mind! When I feel better (super low iron and exhausted right now) that is something that would be really good to do!

Hey Folks, the weekend is here. What's on the menu? Gameday foods? Chili Cookouts? Church Pot Lucks? Comment here or create a fresh post. Pics and recipes are greatly appreciated by everyone.

This weekend will probably be super low key as I’m still feeling worn down unless the kids decide to make something :) It is my son’s 16th birthday so I will try to make something he likes today but supper might just be Chinese to make it easy and something out of the ordinary that he loves :)

@Hope Stephens yes.... For learner's license actually and they have to wait a year after they have had their learners before they can take their test... We have a few things going on here for him that mean he's needs to show us a few things before we will let him take his test :)
