The only small tweak I’d suggest: when you mention your friend, it sounds like they may not have known your background before that conversation. Something along the lines of ‘when I decided to pivot, a friend in pharmaceutical sales told me my background was the perfect combination for medical sales, and the moment they said it I knew I had found my answer’ it shows you’re enthusiastic about this field and not just your credentials being a perfect fit, which they really are!
