😴 Bedtime battles (for us, not the kids!)
Does anyone else find it so hard to actually go to bed at a reasonable hour? 🙋‍♀️ I swear, the second the house is finally quiet, my brain’s like: “Now’s the time to scroll / binge / reorganize the pantry / dream up business ideas…” But when I do manage to get in bed 🛏️ earlier, I wake up feeling like an actual human, instead of a walking zombie. 🧟‍♀️ ✨ Totally worth it! I’m curious - what tricks help you get yourself to bed on time so you actually get enough sleep? 👉 Is it routines, apps, no-phone rules, bribing yourself with fancy PJs? 👉 Or are you still in the “midnight warrior” camp? Share your secrets (or confessions 😅) below - I could use some inspiration! pick one: night owl 🌙 / wannabe early bird ☀️ / happily in bed by 9 🛏️

@Lisa Vanderveen oh i know, right?! 😅 I don't mind giving massages.. but.. idk, from hub I wouldn't mind, but nah.. not the thing that'll get me to bed. 🤣 Oh wow! You poor thing! I know knots can hurt.

@Lisa Vanderveen Ouch!! I knew an OT who could make knots relax.. I wish I had that knowledge. Certainly doesn't make you want to go back! But yeah.. when you're in pain with tight muscles, that pain in the massage seems less if you get relief after.. but man! I really wish it hadn't been torture for you!
🌟 Dream Clients, Dream List 🌟
Michelle recommends the idea of making a list of 100 Dream Clients - and it got me thinking: 💡 I’d love to know: 👉 Have you started (or finished!) your own list yet? 👉 How do you go about deciding who makes it onto that list - -- do you think of people you admire -- brands you’d love to work with, or maybe even -- dream up client types rather than specific names? 👉 And if you haven’t started yet, what’s holding you back? Sharing our approaches could give each of us some new inspiration for building those dream connections. 💕 Bonus: If you could land any client tomorrow, no limits - who would it be?
Beta Client
I’m so excited! I have my first virtual beta client! Working virtually to support this new mom (my sister) with post-partum nutrition needs! Getting myself organized & Running through everything with her from the intake form, contract, and then of course the nutrition piece. Next I just need some paying clients! 🤑

😍 I feel restored and am making this a weekly tradition
This weekend I took Sunday off work and now I think i'm going to implement a day of rest EVERY week. Here's how I plan on making this a weekly ritual: 🦋 prepping everything the day before so that all my weekend tasks are completed on Saturday. 🌈 start the day with an online church service and a hearty breakfast. ☀️ play together, as a family. 😍 enjoy some personalized study/reading time. ❤️ end the day with a nice family clean up so we can start the morning fresh. Do you take a day off a week with your family to rest and restore?

Ohhh yess. I absolutely hit the pause button. It is so important to rest, yet so hard - especially for moms! Sending you encouragement for that time - I also find allowing my mind to wander - doing other things - often brings new ideas and energy!

@Michelle McCartney Art - or home improvement - gardening, or hikes, getting out - museums, culture or nature, Reading! And honestly - watching a movie, just relaxing.. Just stepping away from work, online stuff, and trying to give my brain a break from all the usual stuff.
⭐ Do you ladies do family story time?
😍 I found a series called "Classic Starts" which re-writes classic novels into something for First-Third grade level. 🌈 I have been buying them so my daughter can read the classics in a way that is easier for her to read once she's reading more steadily, but in the meantime, i'm reading them aloud to my kids and we try to do at least a chapter a day. 🦋 Today, we took some time to put on some classical music (so they don't get distracted) and we read 30 pages and finished the book! They couldn't let me put it down! 🏝️ We read "Swiss Family Robinson" and we just ordered "Heidi" to start that as soon as it gets here. 👇 Do you do family story time with your kids (or did you when they were younger)? 👉 If so, what are some of your favorite books to read as a family?

Yes! We read the Hobbit, and the entire Chronicles of Narnia together - oh and a Series of Unfortunate Events! Getting the level right is important - I remember hub tried reading a series (it was in French) but the level was too high for all of us. When you have to ask vocabulary questions too often, or the grammar structure requires too much effort, it's not the right level, but if we stopped to explain things every once in awhile, that worked.

@Michelle McCartney Yes! I think the Chronicles of Narnia is little kid friendly, whereas I wouldn't recommend a Series of Unfortunate Events until kids are older. The themes in books count as well as the actual vocabulary, too. It's always a challenge, especially when you want the reading experience to be good for everyone!
