Happy Father’s Day Baba Victor
🎉 Happy Father’s Day, @Baba Victor Today, our community would like to take a moment to honor and celebrate a man who gives so much of himself to the service of others. Baba Victor, thank you for the countless readings, classes, ceremonies, phone calls, prayers, teachings, corrections, encouragement, and sacrifices that often happen behind the scenes. Many of us have found clarity during confusion, hope during difficult times, and direction when we felt lost because you were willing to answer the call of service. Thank you for being a spiritual father, teacher, mentor, and guide to so many people. Your dedication to preserving tradition, teaching with patience, and helping others grow has touched more lives than you may ever fully know. On this Father’s Day, we celebrate not only the father of your family but also the father figure, elder, and leader that so many in this community have come to love and respect. May the ancestors continue to walk beside you, may Orunmila continue to guide your wisdom, and may all of the love you pour into others return to you multiplied. Please join us in wishing Baba Victor a very Happy Father’s Day! ❤️ Drop your favorite memory, lesson, or message of appreciation for Baba Victor in the comments below.

Prayer: What Do You Say When You Have No Words?
This one is for @Marie Saez — and honestly, for every single person in this community who has ever stood in front of their altar and gone completely blank. You are seen. You are not alone. And I have something I want to share with you that I think is going to change the way you think about prayer forever. My grandmother used to say something that has stayed with me all of my life. She said that the Holy Spirit can interpret all languages — even the ones that sound like nothing more than a moan or a groan. I have never forgotten that. Because what she was really saying is that spirit doesn't need you to be eloquent. Spirit needs you to be real. Do They Know What You Mean? Marie asked the question that I think a lot of us are secretly afraid to ask out loud — do they actually know what I mean when I fumble through my words? Yes. They do. Your ancestors, your Orisha, your Ori — they are not sitting on the other side waiting for you to get the phrasing just right before they decide to listen. They are not grading your grammar. They are reading your heart. And your heart has never once fumbled. The sincerity behind your words is the prayer. The words themselves are just the vehicle. Three Words Said With Everything You Have I want you to think about this. If you stood at your altar and all you could get out was "I need help" — but you said those three words with every ounce of sincerity in your body, with tears in your eyes and your whole heart behind it — that prayer would be more powerful than a Baptist preacher on Sunday morning delivering a perfectly crafted sermon. I mean that. It's not performative. It's not about how it sounds. It's about relationship. It's about connection. And connection doesn't require perfection — it requires presence. Show Up and Say What You Can Sometimes you won't have words. Sometimes you'll stand there and go completely blank — and that silence itself is a form of prayer. Just showing up matters. Just lighting the candle and standing there matters. Just saying "I'm here" matters.

How Do I Decode What Things Mean Spiritually? And, What If I Didn't Grow Up In A Spiritual Family?
This question comes from our community member @Mya Johnson , and I want to say first — Mya, thank you for being so honest about where you are. This question is going to help so many people who feel exactly the same way but didn't know how to put it into words. Let me start by saying something that I think is going to take a weight off of you. You are not behind. You are not broken. And the fact that you didn't grow up in a religious or spiritual household doesn't put you at a disadvantage — sometimes it actually means you get to come to this path without anyone else's baggage. You get to build something that is genuinely and authentically yours. Now let's talk about the real thing you're wrestling with — how do you know what things mean? The Problem With Blanket Meanings When most people start exploring spirituality and dream interpretation, the first thing they do is go searching for answers outside of themselves. They Google what a snake in a dream means. They look up the symbolism of a crow. They find three different sources that say three completely different things and walk away more confused than when they started. Sound familiar? Here's the truth — and this is something the most accurate mediums and spiritual workers in the world understand deeply: there is no universal dictionary of spiritual symbols that applies to every single person. What a butterfly means to me may mean something completely different to you. And both of us can be right. Build Your Own Grimoire What I want to encourage you to do — and what I genuinely believe will transform the way you receive and interpret spiritual information — is to create your own grimoire. A grimoire is simply your personal spiritual dictionary. It's a journal, a notebook, a sacred record of what things mean to you and to the spirits that guide you. Here's how it works. When something shows up — a dream, a symbol, a number, a feeling, a sign — instead of immediately reaching for someone else's interpretation, you sit with it first. You ask yourself: what does this feel like to me? What does my body say? What's the first thing that came to mind before I second-guessed myself?

Is It Intuition or Ego?
This question came in from our community member @Asia Garcia and I knew immediately it needed its own post — because almost everyone walking a spiritual path has asked this at some point. You are not alone in this. This is honestly one of the most important questions you can learn to answer for yourself. And the fact that you're asking it tells me your spiritual awareness is already more developed than you might realize. You're paying attention. That matters. So let's break it down. Your Intuition Intuition is quiet. It doesn't argue with you. It doesn't need to convince you of anything. It just knows — and it delivers that knowing quickly, clearly, and without a lot of drama attached to it. Intuition feels like a gentle nudge, a sudden clarity, or a sense of peace that settles over a decision even when the circumstances around it are uncertain. The key quality of intuition is that it is neutral. It's not trying to protect your ego or make you look good. It's simply pointing you toward truth. Your Ego The ego is louder. It's the voice that second-guesses, compares, worries about what other people think, and needs reassurance. The ego is driven by fear — fear of loss, fear of rejection, fear of being wrong. When the ego is speaking, the energy feels tight, anxious, or urgent. Here's a simple way to tell the difference: if the "guidance" you're receiving makes you feel small, superior, defensive, or it plays to the parts of you that actually need to change or be elevated — that's your ego. Intuition expands you. Ego contracts you. Spiritual Guidance Spiritual guidance — whether from your ancestors, your Orisha, or your spirit guides — often comes in layers. It repeats itself. It shows up in dreams, in signs, in the words of a stranger, in a song that comes on at just the right moment. Spirit is patient and persistent. It will keep knocking until you open the door. One of the ways I've learned to recognize spiritual guidance in my own life is through the body. There's often a physical sensation — a warmth, a stillness, a heaviness in the chest — that accompanies a genuine spiritual message. Your body is one of your most reliable spiritual instruments. Learn to listen to it.
