@Steve Thomas thank you! Collectively my farm sits on close to 7 acres in total. I’m looking at some acreage around the size you’re working with. I really want to expand my sheep and cattle operation and if the market is good, possibly get into a market garden/you pick garden operation. I mainly grow for my family but we do sell our excess at the farmers market. How are the markets there? I believe y’all are in summer correct?

@Sharon Miller most of my meat sales are pork as well. I sell lamb at auction and that fetches a decent price but beef we keep for ourselves. We raise Dexter cattle and here at least, people aren’t very keen on smaller grass fed cuts.

My favorite parts of living out in the country are the views and the quiet that comes from separating one's self from hustle and bustle of the city.
