Support Is Key
How supportive/involved has your partner been in your pregnancy or during birth? *One of the most crucial things, IMO, is a partner who is both physically and emotionally supportive throughout the pregnancy, birth and post Partum period. I know it seems like it goes without saying that this is super important and seems like it would be an obvious thing but I’ve heard several stories lately, (and experienced myself), some spouse/partners that were Less than helpful or supportive… or too overboard or trying to micro manage everything, so much that they were a joy-suck! Why is this? - they just don’t know what/how to be supportive in this new role? - they have their own priorities? - Overwhelmed with all the new info and not sure where they fit in - They just can’t even begin to understand, all the various changes happening in our bodies, hormones, emotions etc. I’d love to know your opinion on this topic or share your personal story if you feel comfortable doing so… :)

My husband was awesome during my pregnancy and labor. He was very supportive, especially during the labor parts. My daughters labor was very painful and long so when we found out that we were pregnant again when she was 5 months old ... we were both not ready for it. But we were actually more ready than we thought because of Malia's birth. We knew what we wanted to do different and adjusted out birth plan accordingly. Elias came into the world so much easier.
Being pregnant…
Everyone has their own opinion on being pregnant, and I’d like to know yours… How do you feel about being pregnant?

Hate is a very strong word but I didn't like it much at all. I did love being able to feel my kiddos kicking (the hiccups got to be a bit much though).
Pregnancy Cravings!
Do/did you have them? And any food aversions? When I was pregnant with my son, I didn’t really have any food aversions- everything just tasted bland! Except Mac & cheese! It was my staple comfort food especially in the first trimester when nothing else tasted good or sat right in my stomach. This week on the coffee chat I would love to get to know more about your nutritional habits during pregnancy and offer some guidance to any questions you may have on this topic.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I craved cheese cake like no other! Could be why I gained 80lbs with her 😬. With my son, I craved red wine. So neither time did I crave anything that was helping my situation!

@Erika Cardinale I lost all but 20 after my daughter was born but then got preggers with my son. I was determined NOT to gain that much with him, and I didn't. After he was born I did well at losing the weight ... just not keeping it off. I could stand to lose 'a few' pounds 😬🫣
