explaining rules for newbies #2
why cant kings castle in check kings cant castle while being check bcuz in chess, kings just only have the ability to block, capture or move, nothing else so castle is illegal. and if u asking "why its illegal" bcuz kings just can move 1 square at a time, but castle would make it move 2 or 3 square (depends on queenside and kingside) ok thats all
The 9 Circles of Hell
Even though this is non-chess related, it’s still educational, so no hate or I bomb houses. Anyways, here’s the explanation of the 9 circles of hell, which was Dante’s interpretation of Hell I personally believe in. What it is, and why they’d go there. Circle 1: Limbo Why they go here: They lived virtuously and unbaptized, or lived before Christ. What happens: They dwell in a peaceful castle with green fields, but feel eternal longing without hope. How it feels: Melancholy and empty, marked by a constant, quiet sigh of spiritual grief. Circle 2: Lust Why they go here: They let fleshly passion overpower reason in life. What happens: A violent, dark storm blows souls around endlessly without rest. How it feels: Dizzy, exhausted, and battered by howling winds that slam them against jagged rock walls. Circle 3: Gluttony Why they go here: They overindulged in food, drink, and material comforts. What happens: They lie in freezing, filthy slush under a relentless, foul-smelling rain and hail. How it feels: Miserable, shivering, deafened by howling roars, and torn apart by the three-headed dog Cerberus. Circle 4: Greed Why they go here: They hoarded wealth or spent money with reckless waste. What happens: Two mobs push heavy weights in semi-circles, crashing into each other repeatedly. How it feels: Frustrated, exhausted, and crushed by the endless burden of useless physical weight Circle 5: Anger Why they go here: They gave in to wrath, bitterness, or sullen gloom in life. What happens: The wrathful thrash and fight each other in the muddy, choking waters of the River Styx. The sullen gurgle and choke beneath the black water How it feels: Suffocating, furious, and trapped in boiling rage or deep, airless despair. Circle 6: HeresyWhy they go here: They denied God and believed the soul dies with the body. What happens: They are trapped inside burning iron tombs that glow red-hot from internal fires. How it feels: Agonizing, searing heat and a claustrophobic sense of eternal fiery burial.
