With a heavy heart
It truly pains me to share this, but I need to pause the community for now, at least for the foreseeable future. Recently, I lost my right-hand person in my business, and it’s left me with a lot on my shoulders. Right now, my priority has to be focusing on rebuilding, stabilizing, and ensuring the continued growth and success of my company. Because of that, I don’t have the capacity to give this community the energy and consistency it deserves. I’ll be leaving the group open so you can continue to connect with one another, but depending on how things go, I may decide to close it down in the future—I’m still figuring that part out. I’m extremely grateful for the support, encouragement, and connections this community has brought together. This isn’t goodbye forever—just a pause while I take the time I need to get things back on track. Thank you all for understanding. I know you will. 💙

Praying for you.
Drug Testing
Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to reach out to see if your organization conducts drug testing as part of the caregiver onboarding process. If so, could you please share which provider you use and whether the cost is covered by the company or reimbursed to the caregiver? Also what size panel do you recommend? Thank you in advance for your insights.

@Kolona Stacks I’m not sure put a pen in that let me do some research.
LTC
Hey, I have a client who wants to use her LTC insurance. However, there’s an elimination period in which she has to pay out of pocket. However, for some reason she doesn’t understand the pay out of pocket part. She thinks that it’s the agency’s job to cover expenses until her LTC insurance kicks in. Has anyone ever ran into this issue?

Personal Care Brick and Motor
Afternoon to all. My research has found out that I'm not required to have license in my state for a Personal Care Service. Moving forward, I would have to have a brick and motor place of business in order gain business through Medicaid. Please respond with ideas for a reasonably priced places I can look.

Workers Comp Client
Hello everyone. We are a licensed Home Healthcare Agency In GA. We are licensed and insured. We are looking to service a Workers comp client. He is a paraplegic and needs 24 hour care. Are there any additional licenses or certifications we need in order to service this client? This will be different for our agency because right now we are GAPP approved and normally work with children.
