I won’t lie, this week has got off to a bit of a stinker… On Sunday a pipe burst in my kitchen. Not exactly how I’d planned to spend the end of my weekend 🙈 Thankfully it’s all fixed now, but the kitchen floor didn’t survive the experience, so that’s another thing added to the ever-growing list of adult responsibilities nobody warns you about 🤣😩🙈 Work has been non-stop too….. The person I usually work alongside is away on training this week, so the last two days have been soooo busy. I’ve spent most of them bouncing between meetings, messages and trying to remember what I was doing before the latest notification popped up 😩🙈 I’m also carrying my phone everywhere waiting for a call about my surgery. Every unknown number has me doing an internal panic of “is this the one?” before answering 🤣 Other than that, I’m surviving on caffeine , determination and pure stubbornness.….How’s everyone else’s week going so far? I’ve been in Nice for a day en route to NYC for the ACM Professional Development board meeting on Thursday. I’ll be travelling most of the day tomorrow. I know @Cigdem Sengul and @Fawzia Zehra Kara-Isitt are connected to ACM, anyone else? Nice is such a lovely place to visit, has anyone else been here? It’s great that Leah has finished her degree now so can travel with me ❤️

Mine is a proper mixed bag this week… Win…… Paris is booked!!! 🇫🇷✨ I’ll be there from the 8th–10th and I’m ridiculously excited. Every time I tell myself I need to stop saying yes to things, I immediately say yes to another thing 🤣🙈 but, I can’t wait to see everyone who’s going and have a few days away. Another big win is that I’ve finally had everything done that needed doing to get me on the surgery list. All the appointments, tests, poking, prodding and awkward questions are out of the way 🙈 and now I’m just waiting for the phone call…… Hopefully sooner rather than later so I’m recovered and ready for Paris. Whine, I amrunning on nothing but fumes this week. 😩 I think the adrenaline that has been carrying me through the last six weeks has finally looked at me and gone, “you’re on your own now kid.”…. You know when you’ve been so busy that you don’t realise how tired you are until your body suddenly sends you an invoice? Yeah… that 😩 The ADHD burnout has hit me like a bus. My brain wants to do 47 things at once, my body wants to be as one with my duvet, and neither side is willing to compromise. 🤣 So my plans for the weekend are incredibly wild…Rest.…. More rest.… Possibly a little lie down to recover from all the resting.…. And trying to get myself into the best possible shape before surgery. Anyway, enough about my dramatic relationship with exhaustion… What’s everyone else been up to this week? Any wins?Any whines?Any exciting news?Any rants that you just need to get off your chest?…..
