I haven't experienced this however if I encountered this I would first remember not to take it personally. I use the Four Agreements as a reminder of how can I support, and show up without harming those I am coaching. Together we will set up agreements for the process and then check back in to see what is working and where we can improve or pivot if needed. This will help create consistency not only for the client but also for myself. Eventually, the client will break down some of those barriers they had created.
