The very first day I had the idea for this community, I thought that I would make it possible for people to purchase a pinned post. Then, I started running the community and became a pin hog and felt like I couldn't give up the premium real estate. I wanted everyone who was new to see the Start Here post, and I wanted everyone in the community to see important notifications and hashtag days. But more and more people have been asking for the ability to get their posts pinned to the top for a certain length of time. I also want to keep some of the pinned posts because I think they are important for setting the tone of the community and keeping you apprised of important information, but if I could open up one pinned post spot, what would it be worth to you to have that spot for 48 hours (if anything)? Just to be clear - you would write the post and I would pin it. It would not be coming directly from me. Oh no! Santa Claus' dashboard lost it's Jolly! In "The Code Zone", from Dec 18th to Dec 22nd, we are running a CSS Christmas Contest to add the Christmas Spirit back into Santa's Workshop Dashboard. Experienced coders likely will only need an hour or two to make this dash their own, beginner coders can take advantage of our extra workshops and co-working sessions to make something magical before submissions close on Dec 22nd. You will end the contest with your visual changes on the dashboard in a showcasable way to share with family and friends, whether this is your first time coding or not. The Code Zone welcomes coders of all levels to learn and work together. The submissions will be judged by a panel of coders, AND a community poll the week of Christmas. Who has a free, welcoming community for both men and women show them the skool ropes, quirks, and gets people up to speed? Should post daily and help people get familiar with the quirks and paradigms of skool ( like how to find new communities to join, how to check the calendars, how to be a good community member, how to level up, etc - but NOT a skool group owner yet (and maybe not ever)) I have skool owner only groups, and female only groups to point people to at the moment - and "The code zone" works okay for now, but I'm looking for a "teach me how to skool" for the standard facebook consumer audience.
