New client! Best day ever!
Well… just got off the phone with a potential/soon to be new Doula client that was referred to me just last night, after my meeting with the 2nd midwife I met with yesterday. The mom-to-be was totally on board with all my service offerings and said my price was totally reasonable! I was shocked! Writing a contract up for her tonight and we will chat again once she has the baby! Which is soon, since she is already 41 weeks + 2 days!

We have A LOT to discuss on our call then! I had no idea about a lawyer
Day 5 of Goal Setting
When I fall behind, I will remind myself that YHWH upholds those who fall and lifts up those who are bowed down (Psalm 145:14). Falling behind just means I need support. My minimum baseline is 15 minutes of showing up. If I do that, I have not failed. When everything feels overwhelming, I will pause on purpose. I will either turn on worship music for ten minutes or step outside for a ten-minute brisk walk and let my body settle before I decide what comes next. One promise I’m making to myself this year is to return to peace instead of pushing through pressure, trusting that God keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3).

Such a great perspective! Failing/falling can produce growth!

So much to do and not enough time!
Manifesting goals
It’s Happening! Super excited to share this with you all! 2026 is starting off with some Wins! I can’t even believe it! I had a phone call meeting yesterday with a birth Doula/midwife in training to chat about my postpartum Doula business. We chatted about so many things: - my business goals/ambitions - my schedule availability - teaching some workshops at the birth center - being on the birth center “on call” list - and further collaborations/referrals here in my local area ** Oh! And she wants to put my Skool group link on the website and any educational material! So that is Win # 1 Win #2 is I have another meeting today with another local Birth doula to basically discuss the same topics Feels great to finally be getting some traction! It’s so powerful to write down goals and actually look at them and act on them!

@Michelle McCartney my first workshop is either going to be the last weekend in Feb or first weekend in March- the topic is Infant Massage :)

1 thing I’m proud of this week is making the effort to connect with others in my local area for referral sources
