My first niche 😁
After seeing the ads for this brand all over social media I finally pulled the trigger and got the discovery set. Unfortunately, I found myself not really intrigued by any of them as many smelled just bad and others were okay at best, but not worth going beyond the sample. However, this bad boy just stood out to me. As my nose has evolved, I find myself appreciating different scents but really looking for something more appealing to me. Not necessarily safe, but something different. I have enough aquatics and freshies, vanilla-bombs and even woody scents so now I’m at the point where I want something that stands out and adds to the collection in a new and meaningful way…and this is the latest to fit that bill. The oud, suede and amber combination is fantastic to me. I don’t get the citrus in the opening but I’m okay with that. I can sense a little florals in the background but overall the spices and various woods won me over. Definitely not something I’d expect to smell at Dillard’s or Macy’s. It does sit closer to skin for me similar to The One and the Givenchy Ambree/Privee/Boisee frags, but for date night, this is something I love to put on and even just spend the house at night as it’s been semi-cooler in the desert, I’m all about it. Longevity is 4-6hrs for me but I’ve also noticed that sample bottles spray different so I’m curious to see, now that I have a real bottle, do I get better longevity. Weird wrinkle I’ve picked up in sampling versus whole bottle purchases. If you haven’t tried this one and are into darker frags, would recommend.

@Rich Toczynski I saw that Rose Oud fragrance and it’s intriguing. I may have to look into additional samples.
Lattafa Asad Bourbon
A beautiful sweet, rich, dense, deep, spicy, ambery, woody and loud scent. This will definitely get you noticed without being offensive. On the elevator this morning, I was asked if I was wearing a vanilla scent, the lady was in love 😏😅. This one lives on the Armani Stronger with You, Azzaro The Most Wanted, Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense, etc., neighborhood. It has great projection and longevity.

Love this one. Clean, airy but rich at the same time. I enjoy grabbing this one for the evenings. Sometimes I grab it as a night time around the house fragrance just because it’s so nice.
🚨New Pickups🚨 + Some thoughts…
Yes, from the local pharmacy again! · Davidoff: Cool Water EDT - $24 I already had the Intense version first. I both this one out of nostalgia. It reminds me my first trip to Spain and Portugal in 1992; it was my signature scent then. · Dolce & Gabbana: Devotion Parfum - $68 I already had the EDP, which I like a lot although it is polarizing. The Parfum smoothens out the rough edges around the coffee note, making it more sophisticated and mass appealing. · Lattafa: Bade’e Al Oud Sublime - $26 An alternative to Kayali: Eden Juicy Apple | 01 EDP. For most, this one might come across too fruity and feminine leaning at the first sniff. However, the dry down smoothens a lot and feels perfectly unisex. I wait this long to get it at a reasonable price, just to complete the collection I wanted to have from this line. WHY I’M SHARING ALL OF THIS? FOR THE RECORD: I just want to make a point about the plurality of this hobby. I like to collect fragrances, regardless brands, cost, or subjective quality. For many this is a waste of money that I should save to commit to a curated expensive “top notch quality” niche fragrances collection. I understand their reasoning, but they are reflecting them selfs on me, that it is not the way I enjoy this hobby. I love niche expensive fragrances, and I have them in my collection. But I have never and I will never pay the ridiculous amount of money they ask for them, I don't have it, and even if I have it, I will not pay it. I have bought my niche fragrances at the best discounted prices. I think that it’s very nice to have a curated expensive niche collection. If that is your thing, good for you! For me that is boring. I love and enjoy having as many options as possible at the best prices ever, that is what makes me happy, and no argument will take that away. There is space for everything and everyone in this community and no one has to be ashamed for sharing their experiences, thoughts, choices and fragrances passion. So, let people enjoy this hobby the way they like to and be happy (as you do), stop criticizing, mind your own business, and let us all enjoy our selves. Shall we?

Well said and I’m with you. Love to see you expand the collection.
Polo 67 EDP by Ralph Lauren
Wearing Polo 67 EDP today, I didn’t think much today so this one is easy grab & safe. Good for office/professional environment, casual and leaning more for daytime use. Good spring/summer and early fall, the 🍍 is the star of the show but it opens up with mandarin orange, bergamot & cardamom giving it a fresh and citrusy opening. The 🍍 and lavender combines well at the base, then turning into a woody fragrance. Hope you have a good one BOS!

Love this one. Easy “dumb grab” but always feels a bit more elevated than other freshie-type fragrances. Great choice.
Dynasty Lattafa Perfumes
Good morning gentlemen. Picked this up on Monday from a rack store. Very nice. Similar to a Clive Cristian fragrance shown below. Nice and smooth, not synthetic very well blended Projects within arms length. I will update you on the longevity later. Well worth it.

I have this one currently going through its maturation process. Curious to see how it turns out because initial smell for me I picked up chewing tobacco vibes. Maybe it’s because I used to dip way back when but that was initial smell that I got. I’ll give this one plenty of time to get comfy before I check it out. Curious your experience with it.
