I deeply agree that the hustle mindset is not healthy or even productive. And… stopping and resting can be so incredibly hard for me to do in reality.

When was your last Headshot? 📸
I have been practicing getting updated headshots/pics every year... I used to find it wildly uncomfortable, but I looked at it as a learning/growing exercise. You don't have to pay a lot of money... you don't have to go to a studio. Depending on your goals, you can use AI, you can ask a friend with a decent camera, you can challenge yourself and get the professional experience... Eeek! I got my due date from my editor
My next book is crowning. I just got the date I need to get the final draft to the editor. ] I am so nervous... and excited. nevousited... excitified. I have seen the incredible work she is doing for our other authors... and I am really looking forward to see the magic she can bring to the manuscript I have... (wink, wink @Emily Sutherland ) It is truly ready for someone else's magic touch.

Hey, everyone! I’m Emily Sutherland and I have wanted to be a writer as long as I can remember. I have mostly worked as a writer who helped others build their dreams, and I am slowly but surely refocusing on my own writing dreams. I have written numerous books for or with others. I have written my story via Substack for over a year in hopes of shaping it into a book eventually. I am also working on some other passion projects which I hope will help me build credibility and exposure so the book doesn’t feel like I’m screaming into the apathetic void. 💖
