Today was a MAJOR breakthrough in the Dishner household! 🙌🏽 @Jesse Dishner was super stoic and peaceful today. I was watching him like 👀, "Dang, why is he acting like Moses after his encounter at the burning bush?" 😂🔥 Turns out, he had a conversation with God. Okay, Shaamya, big deal, right? We all have conversations with God! Except here's the BIG deal: Jesse has never really just talked to God conversationally. His prayers have traditionally been more formal, almost as though he needed to make sure everything was scripturally correct. But this was different. This was intimacy!! 😅This was relationship. This was talking to God like a best friend, a brother, but most importantly, like a Father. And I could feel something shift in our atmosphere today. God isn't just someone we approach when we have a prayer request, need an answer, or want to quote the right scripture. He is our Father who desires to walk with us through life. Think about it: God walked with Adam in the garden. He desires fellowship, intimacy, and communion with us. He is our comfort and our compass. Our joy and our refuge. Our strength and our provider. Our guide and our peace. We were never meant to simply know ABOUT God. We were created to KNOW Him. There is something beautiful about getting to a place where you can talk to Him throughout your day. Share your thoughts, your frustrations, your excitement, your questions, and even the little things that nobody else would understand. Intimacy with God changes how we experience the everyday. It brings peace where there was once overwhelm, clarity where there was confusion, and comfort in places where we once felt alone. Today, I celebrate this breakthrough in our household because sometimes the greatest breakthroughs aren't loud, dramatic, or accompanied by a whole lot of activity. Sometimes, they're quiet moments when someone's relationship with the Father becomes personal in a whole new way. Reflective Questions
