Doubt
To follow on from @Jurek van Duyvenvoorde ’s question about fear. Maybe it is not fear but doubt holding you back. I must say I rarely feel fear in my life but I do often doubt myself and question my current life path. I am now trying to trust my instincts & intuition more but often wonder “Am I doing enough? Am I on the right path?” Need to trust my gut more. - what do you think? Is this your experience?

Am I doing this properly? Am I “clean” enough, am I worthy… all these thoughts have passed through my mind at one time or another. On the other hand I have had experiences where the reiki energy came thru even though I knew I was not in an ideal state (corporate event, had drunk quite a bit of bubbles- several glasses) but then a colleague had real pain in his shoulder. I just concentrated on that and sent him the energy- just to that spot. He felt it straight away and it actually kinda freaked him out (science guy not in tune with energy healing). I was so happy that the energy flowed when it was needed even if I wasn’t “prepared” or “clean”

How do colours influence your moods and energy?
Following on from Jurek’s question a few days ago do you feel that different colours “speak” to you on different days? Purple & lilac are often associated with healing and insight , red with good luck, physical strength and new beginnings and so on. Choosing a specific colour for your surroundings or even for the clothes you wear today can add a boost to whatever intention you set. Here’s an interesting Ted talk on how lack of colour can affect us. https://youtu.be/4eYj7zPnujc?si=e7yNIxXCr7W1tKoi

Have you made a special space for yourself?
Hello everyone, I have been wondering - especially for those of you just starting on your Reiki journey- have you managed to create a place for your self practice and any meditation you may do? I really find it helpful to have a comfortable spot, in my case with a low armchair and a few cushions. It is lit by a nearby window and I normally keep the colors quite pastel, though sometimes I get the urge to cover everything with a vibrant cloth, just following what speaks to me in the moment. The thing is, this helps me focus and also to look forward to my “special” place and time where I can self treat or meditate. I sometimes play music at one of the supportive frequencies but sometimes just enjoy the birdsong & breeze coming through the window nearby. Do you have a special place for your self practice? If yes, what do you add to enhance your time spent there?

@Thapelo Matona Oh, I forgot I also often put flowers close by. As I live in the tropics the garden always has some beautiful blooms!!

@Andre Jooste certainly! Some rooms or areas generate a peaceful vibe as soon you enter!
What is life trying to teach me right now?
I’ll start.. To be patience with myself, do the work; however, be kind to myself by using loving discipline. How about you if you feel like sharing?

To be consistent. It brings rewards 🥰. But also be patient to myself when the consistency slips away. Just keep trying. 🌸
