Let's Talk Notion
I am currently using notion, but I know good and well I'm not using it to it's full potential. Curious as to how people are using Notion? I have yet to organize it and/or make it all pretty.

Hey all! I was at the cabin for the weekend, so thanks for your patience! First of all, this is so normal!! Notion is one of those tools where you can use 4% of it and still get massive value — or you can try to use 94% of it and accidentally build yourself a second job. It's funny. When I saw the question “Am I using Notion to its full potential?”, my immediate thought was: "probably not." I don't think most of us are because Notion can do so much! But I also think that tryign to use it from its full potential is a bit of a trap. Because a beautiful, overbuilt dashboard you avoid is the thing I see happen with WAY too many people when it comes to Notion. They overbuild, overcomplicate, and then avoid using the system they built because of it. I think a better question is: “Do I feel clear, confident, and supported when I open it?” You don’t need a giant interconnected second brain from day one. You need one place to capture things, one place to plan from, and one place you actually trust enough to return to. I use Notion for a lot now — content, clients, projects, notes, meetings, planning, dashboards, etc. — but that came from layering slowly over time. I also think that too many people start with the aesethetics first, and don't get me wrong: I love those! The goal is to make it useful first. Pretty comes after functional. SStart with the 3 things you keep losing track of. Build only for those. Once you trust that system, add the next layer. Notion is powerful, but the power comes from making it feel like a support system, not a puzzle you have to solve. So yes, instead of just telling you, I can record a quick walkthrough of how I use mine because I use it for a lot of shit — but with the huge caveat that my Notion is built for my brain, my business, my clients, my content, and my season of life. Would that be helpful for you all?

@Electra Davis Thank you! I'm looking into this now! Was it on the sign-up page itself or was it on the actual quiz?

Notion AI 👉 Organize Your Brain 🧠
Turn messy notes into structured plans (in seconds) 👇 Most notes are just raw ideas, unstructured and hard to act on and the real challenge is turning them into something usable. This is where Notion AI helps. Instead of organizing everything manually, you can turn scattered notes into a clear plan instantly. Here’s how to use it ⬇️ Paste your notes into Notion AI and use this prompt: “Organize these notes into clear categories, action steps and priorities. Make it easy to execute.” What you’ll get: - Structured sections - Clear next steps - Prioritized actions - A plan you can actually follow Use this for: - Meeting notes >>> action items - Content ideas >>> posting plan - Goals >>> step-by-step tasks After it organizes everything, ask: “Turn this into a weekly execution plan with deadlines.” Now you go from notes ➡️ plan ➡️ execution in minutes. Try it and share what you organized! 👇

@Brenda Rigney I mean Notoin is my second brain at this point! If I have a note, it goes in there. If I have a task, it goes in there. If I'm on a call it goes in there. If there's any sort of uncertainty about whether or not I might need something again, it gets captued and goes inside of my Notion system! I use it for EVERYTHING! But I'm probably most obsessed with using it for meetings! I actually just connected my Notion studen database where I track notes for all my students to a vibe coded student dashboard for progress tracking1 That was a fun project! And I'm so hyped with how it turned out!
