My Birthday is Tomorrow 🎂🎁🚀
I just want to give a huge shoutout to my friends who have really been helping me grow this community. Earlier today I asked in a few groups for a *Birthday Wish* for people to send over a few community members. Now we are just 5 members away from hitting the 800-member goal for Q1, and I am feeling like we are 100% going to hit the target. @Liisa Reimann Thanks for sending over @Chelena Peart who has been a real rockstar ✨ from the moment she came into the community today and brought over a bunch of her friends. 💖 Also big hugs to @Rasheed Hooda for also giving me a birthday shoutout and bringing over some of his connections too. Also appreciate @Sybil Hall for also featuring me today. 👉 AFFILIATE IS ON: Everyone is welcome to invite their friends. If you have someone who would love to learn self-publishing, send them over. 💖 Thanks to everyone else who has been supportive here. I'm grateful to have you all!

Skool wasn’t built to be a place where you just scroll… it was built to participate. To share what you’re working on. To get feedback. To support each other. And one of the most powerful parts of this platform? The gamification. You’ve probably heard people talk about the “Skool games”… but most people aren’t even sure how it all works (honestly, I was right there too at first 😅). Here’s what actually matters: 👉 As you engage more in this community, you level up. 👉 And when you level up… you unlock things most people never will. Here’s what’s waiting for you: ✨ Level 3 → Access to my Publishing AI Prompt List ✨ Level 4 → Unlock my Self-Publishing Checklist ✨ Level 5 → A 1:1 Strategy Call with me (normally reserved for VIPs) No complicated system. No tricks. You level up by:✔️ Commenting✔️ Posting✔️ Supporting others✔️ Being active That’s it. The more you show up, the more you unlock. So if you’ve been sitting quietly at Level 1… consider this your sign 👀 Let’s get you leveling up 🔥

Day 2: Nick's British Mystery: How Bill Gates Helped me Change Course
In this rather long but important video, I discuss how my idea came about, the Bill Gates article that changed the course of my story, and how it started when I read stories to my niece and nephew. https://www.canva.com/design/DAGrJGokDk8/kyQChhcO-RWXR__5EInz7Q/edit?utm_content=DAGrJGokDk8&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

@Nick Nebelsky is this at me? I could see it as the whole book, but altering POV durning scenes could work too. I would stick with 3rd person limited, even if you alter POV and I can see how Jimmy being one, and the defective being another could really strengthen it.

Hello. Please read my British Mystery Novella. Chapter 1 Day 1
Hello Everyone. I am the owner of AI Storytellers. It's mostly an AI film group, but I also have a lot of writers there as well. After talking with @Krista Brea and @Kimberly Stebbins I have decided to be super transparent and tell all how I wrote my latest body of work. It's a British Mystery Novella (about 50,000 words). Most of which was written pre-AI. In the latter part of its construction, I used AI not to write it, but to use it to bounce ideas off. And in the end, the AI became my editor, my ear, my confidant. My goal is to share everything from kernel of an idea to where I am today. So if you want to follow along, I will drop a link to my Canva project where it sits. YOU DON'T NEED CANVA to read it. However, you will receive a link to a LIVE site. You can leave comments there. There is a speech bubble at the top of the page where you can leave a comment. Please use your real names as if you use letters only, I won't know who you are. I will not respond today. Because I want everyone to have a chance to leave a comment. This will help me tremendously as I'm in my final stages of the book. It's a book that I have put on hold because of skool, but it's a book that I want to finish and this would help me move in that direction. The book is already formatted for a chapter book. There is a working title, but it's not set in stone. It is a humorous, Children's book, but it has a very serious premise. It's set for YA, but adults may enjoy it too. I will drop my original conversation I had with @Kimberly Stebbins in the comments. Not all of them apply anymore unless I failed in my execution of fixing the erros. But at least you can learn something that I didn't even know! @Nick Nebelsky just something to add on the topic of POV, staying aware of “tense” too. I am writing in first person past tense POV but in my higher action scenes, I tend to accidentally create momentum but writing in present tense 😵‍💫 it’s a struggle for me to stay consistent. Although, I am considering changing the whole thing to first person present for a deeper sense of intimacy for my characters. This isn’t specific feedback on your story, just feedback on POV choices in general and another thing to watch out for.

@Nick Nebelsky be mindful of which ones you remove. Em dashes do create a more powerful pause than your standard comma or period. They do have their place in creative writing. They help develop rushes, a thought on thought and those are real ways people think. I am the worst at punctuating, grammar, spelling you name it. So I wouldn’t know which ones to keep or not. I wouldn’t remove them if they are doing work in pacing the story or the characters thought.
Tomorrow, I will post my First Chapter of my British Mystery for Kids
This is my first YA Novel and I'm still torn whether it's going to be a series of chapter books or one novella. Maybe I'll learn from the group which way to go. My plan is to tell you a little back story, and then be vulnerable and tell you how I created it and developed it with AI tools. My goal is to show it to everyone even the bad parts and talk about it openly. How I created, what was the impetus for writing it, where I got the graphics, the whole kit and kaboodle. It should be fun! Special thanks to @Kimberly Stebbins for helping me as a beta reader and inspiring me to share it with you all!
