How do you discover yourself and embrace being single after rejection by someone?
This is quesiton I want to ask because I've been reading so much online about needing to discover yourself and enjoy being single. Both are things that I've felt uncomfortable for a long period after my last rejection by someone over a year ago, I haven't tried any dating or putting myself out there to meet anyone new because part of me worries that I might not be enough for someone again. So how do you fully discover yourself and embrace and enjoy single life?

Hi @Askand El Assaad thank you for sharing your perspective on this. This was really insightful and inspiring, I really like this way of thinking about it as the logs for the fire in your soul as I never thought about it that way before. This sounds like you have really been on a journey of self discovery! This has given me some further food for further thought about creating balance within my life, people I surround myself with and how to embrace and become a better version of myself. All the best! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

@Benedict Marchand These are really good points Benedict, I would especially like to learn more through this journey about how to develop my self trust, healthy boundaries and not attracting unhealthy people. I realise in the aftermath with the last person I was briefly seeing I missed some red flags and rather walk away, I let myself get suddenly blindsided by them and that knocked my self esteem, confidence and has led to me having a sense fear and hesitancy that I need to overcome of eventually meeting someone else. For me, it's in future being able to in a place that if that happens again have the skills to not feel an overwhelming sense of abandonment.

How to gain more self-convidence?
Hello everybody! Since I get to know this community and their admits a little bit better in the last couple of days I want to break the ice and start a conversation about how to gain more self-convidence? What are your tips and strategies so far? @Toby Brauer @Daniella de Freitas

@Benedict Marchand Hi Benedict, I would definitely agree with @Daniella de Freitas point 3 about getting out of your comfort zone, this is something that I have been trying to read more about building self confidence. I personally myself still find this difficult sometimes and the ways I can actually do this and try new things. I've tried things like going out by myself for example for a drink a pub at the weekend and at first it was uncomfortable as it felt all the people around you were out their friends, but I've done it a couple of times just to get used to a busy atmosphere, sometimes it could result in small conversation with someone, but even if it didn't I was I pleased that I just gone out. Identifying negative thought patterns mentioned, this is something again that I've been trying to read about more and it is about breaking the negative pattern with positive thoughts, which for me is realising that I am enough as I am and trying to not be so hard on myself as I'm an overthinker and thoughts can spiral if you let them. One thing I does help with my confidence is movement, when I feel negative about something going for a walk or to the gym are things I find are confidence and esteem boosters!

@Benedict Marchand Yeah, the moving out of your comfort zone is definitely a challenge, I agree I think it's about having experiences and taking a little steps towards this. I found with movement, especially walking has helped me as one of the ways to help with supporting my esteem when I'm overthinking if its consistently applied, but I appreciate its different for everyone. I do believe there are other things that I need to incorporate more like breath work and meditation.
