Last year, I spent a lot of time marketing my books with video on TikTok Shop, and it worked. I was selling a few hundred books a month from it part-time. But eventually, I stopped. Not because video stopped working — but because constantly coming up with ideas, writing scripts, getting camera-ready, filming, editing, and posting became a lot to maintain while juggling everything else. And I know a lot of authors here probably feel the same way. That’s why I just published a new video breaking down why video is such a powerful tool for marketing your books, the biggest reasons I still think authors should be using it, and what I’m doing differently now to make the process easier.
