This weekend, the Magdalene Network co-creators are heading to Omega Institute in New York for Meggan Watterson’s retreat, and we are so excited for a few days of immersion, conversation, and Magdalene sisterhood. While we’re there, we’ll also be spending some time with Clark Strand and Sofie Strand, two authors and thinkers whose work we have loved and followed for years. If any of you are going to be at Omega for the retreat, please let us know! We would LOVE to arrange a Magdalene Network meetup while we are there. ❤️ Because we’ll be away, there will be ✨NO Sacred Petitions this Friday through Monday.✨ And speaking of Sacred Petitions... Carrie has now been holding this practice for an incredible 650 DAYS. 650 days of women writing what they are carrying. What they are asking for. What they are grieving. What they are ready to release. What they are becoming. Over time, we began noticing that something was happening in the writing itself. There is actually research around this. Expressive writing has been studied for decades, and the evidence suggests that putting difficult emotions and experiences into words can help us process what we have lived, create meaning around it, and support emotional well-being. But we have also witnessed something the research papers can't quite capture: the power of another woman witnessing your words. There is medicine in being heard. There is medicine in discovering that someone else understands. And there is medicine in finally giving language to something you have carried silently. That realization is part of what inspired our newest monthly circle, Write Right Medicine, beginning in September. And we also want to remind everyone how Sacred Petitions works: ❤️ Every Saturday at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, Sacred Petitions is open to our entire Magdalene Network community. ❤️ Magdalene Initiates have access to Sacred Petitions throughout the entire week, along with our growing collection of members-only circles, book circles, teachings, replays, discounts, and experiences.
