About the conditioning we’re beginning to recognize, the parts of ourselves we put aside, and what happens when we finally start listening to our own souls. Now I have an opportunity to take this work beyond our community—and I want you beside me. On 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, I’ll be presenting 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 for the Scientific and Medical Network. David Lorimer invited me after reading my Substack work exploring Mary’s gospel as a map of inner transformation—and the parallels I see between the soul’s liberation in her teachings and contemporary approaches to healing trauma and working through unconscious conditioning. What moves me is the opportunity to bring these teachings into conversation with people exploring consciousness through a scientific lens. Here we are, asking how to understand ourselves more deeply, while an ancient gospel holds teachings that I believe could have changed how generations of women understood their own worth, wisdom and spiritual authority. What might have been different if we had grown up hearing her voice? I want to ask that question beyond the spaces where we already understand why it matters. I want to speak about what we see in these teachings, hear other perspectives, and explore what we might discover together. This is an opportunity for our voices to reach further. And we can help make it count by showing up. The Scientific and Medical Network is also helping convene a Faith and Science conference in Rome this December, bringing scientists, contemplatives and religious voices together. Knowing this conversation is reaching Rome makes this opportunity feel even more significant to me. But there are also a few bigger things unfolding behind the scenes that I want you to know about. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱™ is becoming clearer and more complete. I’ll be bringing the Gospel of Mary, spiritual authority, transformation and the developing 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱™ into a much wider conversation around consciousness and human experience.

Yesterday we closed the first full journey through Unbinding the Soul, and I’m still sitting with what happened in that room. When I first began reading the Gospel of Mary, I was fascinated by the Seven Powers because I could not stop seeing them in ordinary human life. Fear. Desire. The identities we build in order to belong. The beliefs we inherit and never question. The ways we silence ourselves, protect ourselves, rage, shut down, reach outward for authority, and then wonder why we feel so far from ourselves. What began as research slowly became something much more personal. I started wondering whether Mary’s Gospel was preserving a map for what happens when we begin waking up from all of that. Not a map for becoming perfect. Not a promise that we never get triggered again. A map for becoming conscious. That became Unbinding . For ten weeks we watched what happens when the things we assumed were simply “who I am” begin revealing themselves as conditioning, protection, fear, old stories, and patterns that once served us but may no longer belong in the life we are trying to live. That is the work. I hear people talk about “doing the shadow work” all the time, but I think we can misunderstand what that means. You can understand your story intellectually for years and still find yourself living from it. At some point we have to be willing to look directly at what is happening inside us while it is happening. To recognize the pattern, feel what it is doing, understand where it came from, discern what is true now, listen beneath the old noise, and make another choice.
