Monthly expenses to break even question
What’s been working best for you guys lately to land your first carrier? cold outreach, Facebook groups or referrals? What about some of you who are on the fence about spending additional funds if your strapped for cash to do run paid ads? Also, another question. After reviewing the course I’m trying to get a number of what it cost per month to actually run this business set up just to break even. There’s the $97 per month Truk Ai software, $97 for dispatch university ( optional), and the LLC formation, domain, etc..what are you guys spending per month on average?

@Carla Mitchell where are you in your journey right now?
This module was powerful! ( Service)
I just waned to say, "wow." I've learned a great deal under the module called "The Service" which pretty much entailed the entire business operation side. Nothing left out. This was the guts of the business and how it functions on a daily basis from things like onboarding your carrier with all the documentation to set him up, His CPM ( break even point) and how to get to his Target Profit per mile, market analysis and research into ways to position and optimize your best chance for your carrier to get the most $ per mile to get his Target Rate per mile. Very informative module! I learned a lot through this module. I would encourage you guys to really. go over this section more than once to get a thorough understanding of how your day to day would be in this business moving forward.

@Carla Mitchell Sure does.
What is a limited liability company?
I don't understand exactly what a limited liability company means. I just want to know if I can establish such a company, and I am from an Arab country.

An LLC is a limited liability company is a corporate business structure letting the world know how your planning on running your business. It acts as an alter ego of yourself, so that you limit your risks in business so it doesn’t go beyond your personal assets unless of course you somehow commingle your personal with your business and then it can pierce your corporate veil. You never want to do business with as a sole proprietorship or general partnership as these other structures do not protect you against creditors or people who can sue you in business. This is the foundation. LLC’s are pass through entities which avoid double taxation like a C corporation. There are other alternatives like a S Corpration as well. But LLC is by far the most popular used, especially for this business. I will refer to your accountant or tax professional if you have any questions.

MC Number
Good morning! I just want to confirm something. One of the videos mentioned that we wouldn’t need a MC number right away, but what if a carrier doesn’t want to add you on their MC even if you do pay them for it. Also, we wouldn’t have to ask each carrier we work for? I’m thinking that’s more money we’re paying monthly based on how many carriers we work with. Isn’t it sensible to get your own MC if you have more than one carrier? 🤔

I think he also mentioned in the training that you can also ask your carrier to “add” you as a fellow dispatcher to their DAT account for additional $75 if the carrier doesn’t want to give you their details. I wasn’t 100% sure. So if someone can please clarify that as well. Thank you
