Used equipment
Hey guys, I called around in my market and it’s really hard to find forestry mulching equipment to rent so I started looking into used equipment.. is this a bad idea knowing the amount of abuse these machines take?

Looks awesome @Kurt Sarkela
Leads.
Hey everyone I did a 4 day boosted post on Facebook. And I got 3 leads. 2 were nothing one I quoted today. And set them the estimate and they're going to sign tomorrow, and I have another estimate set to do next week for stump grinding.

Awesome job Matt
Website based estimates for market data
I’ve been refining an idea and realized it might be more than just an estimator. A simple, easy-to-use online estimator on my website—enter acreage and location, then tap through visual options (current property status, project size, terrain, desired finish) to match their land and get a quick price range, with the option to request a free in-person quote (maybe more options?). What I’m thinking about building is something that: • Gives a fast ballpark without a traditional form • Uses visual selections instead of long inputs • Keeps it low friction (no name required) • Captures location (town or address) But on the backend, it gives me data on: • Where demand is coming from • What type of jobs people are looking for • Which areas are “hot” vs “cold” So even if someone doesn’t request a quote, I still walk away with useful info to guide ads and targeting. I want more data… Basically turning an estimator into a lead intelligence tool. Curious if anyone else has tried something like this, or sees any blind spots I’m missing.

I think it’s a great idea and has a lot of potential
I am new to this trying to learn taking in all the advice
I’d like to start and say I am so thankful that there’s a community like this I can learn from I am my owner of a Truking company. I own one Truck and trying to be with my family more. I have owned.multiple businesses but got stuck into the Truking but I love equipment and did sells most of my life so I cannot wait to start I have a couple of questions if anybody can answer them I plan on buying all brand-new equipment from the videos that I have watched online and advice I should buy a brand new skid steer and mulcher. I do not know if I should buy the excavator with it, but I’ll wait till I hear back from y’all. I plan on hiring an advertising company paying minimum of $100 a day in advertising to hit the ground running. I was going to advertise for two weeks book up a couple of jobs and then go get the equipment. I take construction court, so if doing something wrong, please do address it. This is a big change for me and my family. I’ve been over the road for the last eight years and ready to get out of the truck and do some more productive.
