If one bank turns you down, I want to know why before we decide what to do next. Was it a requirement specific to that bank? Something in your history with them? Or a gap in the business or credit profile that needs work? Those lead to different next steps. When I review a business, I look at credit, time in business, revenue and the proof behind it, and assets. Then I look at the banking relationships already in place. We’re looking for the strengths we can work with and the things we need to address. A problem with one bank doesn’t automatically close every other door. It also doesn’t mean the next application should go out before we understand the problem. If you’re stuck after a decline, send me a DM with the reason the lender gave you. Let’s start there.
