Skoolpedia: Roast my community idea
If you think about starting a new community, use my link and gain a consulting call to set all up plus free premium access to this community, meaning you can use it to call people to yours. AND, If you start with a Pro Community right away, I'll give you free VIP! All with no additional cost to you! This one came from a talk with @Eric William earlier. >>> Skoolpedia - This is a place to build knowledge in collaboration. - People make posts teaching about a subject and have to add a poll to each one asking if the knowledge is valuable or not. - If the knowledge is valuable it's added in the classroom, crediting the one who made it, who can link their course/community/website at the end of the lesson. So in exchange of creating valuable knowledge you get to promote your work throught your lessons. - The classroom is a way to separate posts by category, similar to what I do here. So it will be full of valuable knowledge shared by the community. Think a course for each cathegory, like Marketing, Tech, Self Help, Fitness. And inside each one there are folders and pages. Each folder is a subcategory and each page is a compilation of posts that fit in a specific subjects. And people can also easily navigate throught the feed choosing a category in the filters. - The community also has live calls where people can share their knowledge about a specific theme and than use that as inspiration for more posts. - The owner pins the best performing posts and gives shoutouts to the best ones at each week/month. - There is a tier for payment, but it is voluntary. It's a non profit project just like wikipedia. Everything it offers it's avaiable to anyone and the community is public, so the classroom libraries can be accessed even for people who are not inside the community. - Each post will be very valuable as people can revisit them at any moment and enter a discussion about that specific subject in it's comments. So it's never static.

hmmm let me be straight. To me: The concept is clever but the business is broken. Wikipedia , Quora and Reddit exist. What does Skoolpedia do that those platforms don't with a decade head start and billions of users. Three fatal flaws: 1. "Non-profit, voluntary payment" feels more like a prayer than a model. Who pays your time? Wikipedia runs on $180M/year backed by a foundation with 20 years of brand equity. You're starting from zero. 2. The incentive is backwards. Serious experts give away their best content for a backlink at the bottom of a lesson in a community nobody's heard of. The ones who will contribute are beginners- which kills the quality and thus the concept. 3. Public classroom = no reason to join. You've removed your own membership magnet. The one thing that works: Contributors getting promoted through their own content which is a real value exchange. That's the seed of something. Flip the model: Charge contributors to be featured: free readers, paid contributors. Then you have a business and a quality filter and a real incentive. Passion projects don't scale without a system and I don't see the system yet. Hope this is useful!
I wanted to stay away from my screen this weekend. I lasted 4 minutes.
60 minutes later I built a support group for my Skool addiction. On Skool. No regrets. This virus seems to have stages Stage 1: you check Skool once. Stage 2: you check it between meetings. Stage 3: you check it during dinner. Stage 4: you're reading this. There's no cure. But there's a group. Roast this one for me please!

@Paulo Costa, The Roaster Thank you Paulo...let me work on this. Even though i promised myself to work on my business community but yeah..the fear of missed opportunity is REAL so I'll be tweaking Skoolers Anonymous today 🫣😁 *The testimonials aren't real but meant for acknowledgement.
šŸ“¢ How to win Roaster of the Week
Every week there is a competition in this community to choose the one that gives the most helpful comments in the roast requests. šŸ“Œ And as a prize, he/she will get a pinned post with their links and description of their offers right here at the top of the community for a whole week. They will also get a custom pinterest ad that will be promoted on pinterest games for extra reach. The winner can DM me to add more details to the post if they want. I'm evaluating the winner based on this: - Quality: How well you wrote the roast, how well you interacted with the roasted and how helpful and respectful you were in general on the thread (0 to 3 points) - Attention to detail: How much time you dedicated to actually go through the persons's stuff and review it, how detailed and technical was your review and the work you gave in the details. (0 to 3 points) - Creativity / Originality: If you give unique responses for each person. Spamming the same answers, not adding much new to answers that other people already made, or always giving similar answers will get you penalized here. (0 to 3 points) - Plus one extra point if I'm impresssed, totalling 10. Quantity is also important, as you get points at each roasted thread. But low effort spaming will not add any points. Roasting posts that are currently pinned double your score. You also score giving insighful answers to Poll Monday posts. To give a chance to everybody, you can only win once every month!

šŸ† Pitching / Advertizing Competition šŸ”„
We have those pitch exercises that anyone can access and engage with at anytime right? This post will be on the top of the classroom pitch exercises page, so it's the first one people wil see when they check there. Comment bellow with as many ads, copies, posters, anything advertizing something you sell. A copy, a video, an ad. Make it eye catchy, make me want to click it, put effort in it, make it good. And if you want to win, make it the best of this tread. Use images, use video, use GIFS, great hooks, deliver value, anything that will make me and everyone else want to buy what you're selling. The current best ad/copy here will be pinned at the top of this post. At the end of each week, I'll make a separate post with the current pinned comment. You can also roast comments in this tread to earn Roaster of the Week points. And keep reposting with the improvement sugestions. Are you in?
