A year ago, I made the decision to book a call with DevPro after watching some of their YouTube videos for a while. To be honest, I was very nervous about the call I had booked ā for some reason, it felt like my life depended on it. Even though I was expecting to be tested by Cristian, I was surprised when another guy, Elias, interviewed me instead. I was skeptical and a bit disappointed, to be honest ā but give it an hour, and I had one of the best conversations of my life. Iāve got to give it to him ā he really knows how to talk to peopleš«”. It was incredibly exciting and motivating, and it pushed me to the next level. To give you some context, I had gone through two bootcamps before joining this community. After finishing them, I found myself in a situation where I wanted to write code and build UIs but had no idea how to actually do it. But here, it was a different story ā it felt like an invisible force was pushing me forward and saying, "You need to do more." One year later, after grinding through it all while also working an 8-hour job (with overtime), six days a week ā until December, at least š„²ā Iāve reached the point where if someone tells me to build a UI, I can do it without hesitation. But I couldnāt have done it without the help of this community. Since day one, Iāve read every comment on my posts, tried to understand the feedback ā even the feedback on other peopleās posts ā and did my best to review as much code as I could and help others to the best of my abilities. In my opinion, this is what helps you grow faster than anything else. Sorry for the long read ā my message to everyone is that getting involved in a community is how you grow. Read code from fellow learners, try to give good feedback, help where possible, and accept when youāre wrong. Because at the end of the day, nobody is all-knowing ā weāre all here to learn.āļø
