A question about being business owners.
As entrepreneurs and small business owners, out of all the different jobs and responsibilities that come with that, what do you guys find to be the hardest or most daunting part of the whole thing?

All of it. Lol! Socials are wild and I have zero desire to do videos. Marketing has never been something I’ve been able to wrap my head around.
Vocal chain question.
Assuming this isn't a taboo question, but what is everyone's vocal chain? And, do you have different chains for different types of jobs. Like, do you have one you use for audio books, then one that is different for commercials, and another for narriations etc.

Hey Robert! Just saw this. Yes, definitely different chains for audiobooks than short form stuff. I produce my own audiobooks so I have everything on that. When I export a chapter from Studio One it has already run a chain that compresses, does a little high pass/low pass EQ, raises the gain, and does one pass of the mouth-click tool that is an add-on from iZotope. Then I put it into iZotope and have a chain there that is de-click, de-esser, mouth de-click, and noise reduction (that takes out a light background noise that I always have. Short/form auditions I’m still learning exactly what people want, but unless I learn otherwise and unless they ask for something specific I export it raw from Studio One and then in iZotope I normalize to -3, HP/LP EQ, run de-click and mouth de-click, and run the noise reduction tool if there is a background hum that is worse than I like. My specific numbers for each tool wouldn’t be helpful to you because they are so individualized per your voice.
Hello All
Hello everyone. I am starting my VO journey. I have very little experience in the world of voice over, but, from what I have done, I have really enjoyed it. I look forward to diving deeper into this world and learning as much as I can.
