Overthinking and where it leads
In 1 Chronicles 19, the Ammonites are receiving a peace offering from King David. The intentions behind the gesture were good hearted. However, the new king of the Ammonites and his council over thought this simple gesture, assuming that there must be some secret agenda with the message. They humiliate the messengers and send them away, only then realizing their folly. After realizing that they may have offending King David, they got their armies ready and paid other kings to join in the battle, which in the end they lost. Perception is so powerful. I was telling a friend the other day that sometimes we make an issue out of something that we don't need to make an issue out of. For example, if you believe you are busy, you are busy. If you believe you are in control, then you are in control. In the Ammonites case, if you believe you are threatened, then you are threatened. Their own assumption of reality became reality. How often do we "think" ourselves into a problem? Love you all. Have a good day!

Rant
I think God gave me a warning today. I’ve had my fear for him and that he can take everything away but today it was reiterated. I had a big scare today at work where I thought I was dead and it made me realize God is fair but life is not and I’m not ready to meet him at all times then I’ll be lost. I’m scared to die right now and I know that’s because I don’t have the correct relationship.
Update Pt. 2
I’ve discovered the harder you stray from worldly ways the harder evil tries to fight back. It’s been tough keeping myself accountable and yes I’ve failed. But I think this realization really puts it into perspective that of course it’s not going to be easy. I’m still trying to get back to the way I used to be. I know I’ll get there just gotta keep working on my relationship with God. Thank y’all for the kind words of that really meant a lot❤️
Update
Haven’t been doing well and i absolutely have to get it together. Not looking for pity but maybe some help to keep myself accountable. I’m gonna try to at-least get one post on here a day. Thank you Godspeed.
Love
1 Corinthians 13:1-7 "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all the mysteries and knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is Kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." Love is - patient, kind, rejoices in truth, protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres. Love is not - envious, boastful, proud, dishonoring, self-seeking, easily angered, keeping record of wrongs, delighting in evil. I can be anything I want in life, whether that be a good person or a bad person, it is all the same without love. I have been going through life recently trying to muster up the fruits of the Spirit in my own strength, and without a real love for the Lord. He showed me how futile this striving was this morning. He wants our love first and before anything else. He will provide everything for us if we just first love Him. What are some other characteristics of love that you can think of?
