🧾 2. Experian’s Stall Response – Public Record or Furnisher Verified What They’re Doing: This is the generic “we verified with the furnisher” stall tactic. It’s designed to make you stop disputing, but don’t fall for it. They’re not saying the account is valid — they’re just saying someone (usually the furnisher) confirmed the data. 💥 How to Fight Back: You have two options — both aggressive, both legal. ✍🏽 Option A: CFPB Complaint Against Experian Hit them on the fact that they’re: - Not properly investigating, just “parroting” back what the furnisher says. - Ignoring factual disputes you sent. - Failing to perform a reasonable reinvestigation under FCRA §1681i. Use this language: Experian failed to conduct a proper reinvestigation. They merely forwarded my dispute to the furnisher and accepted their response without validating the accuracy or legality of the reporting. This violates FCRA §1681i, which requires a reasonable reinvestigation. They ignored supporting documents and failed to investigate my claim independently. I am requesting the removal of this item or a thorough reinvestigation. 📞 Option B: Call Experian & Demand Escalation (855) 414-6048 Say dispute , then enter social , zip code and address Ask for a dispute escalation specialist, not the general rep. Say this: Hi, I’m calling because my recent dispute was closed without proper reinvestigation. I have proof that the reporting is inaccurate, and I need this escalated to a supervisor or a compliance agent. I’m also preparing to submit another CFPB complaint for failure to reinvestigate under FCRA §1681i unless this is properly addressed.
