What I'm working on
Hi, my name is Joanne and I'm glad to be part of this group. I've been crocheting for almost 50 years and knitting for the past 12. I'm retired, so knitting and crocheting take up a lot of my time. As such, I always have a good number of projects in process. Most of my projects are for my friend's charity, which gives blankets to needy children. In the fall, they also give scarves to needy adults. At Christmas, they give double-fleece blankets and Beanie Babies to kindergartners in low income schools. All of that said, I'm currently in scarf mode. Knitwise, I'm working on a polka-dot scarf using the mosaic knitting technique. And a simple chevron pattern scarf. I'm also knitting Izzy dolls, in case my friend can't get enough Beanie Babies. (They gave away over 3,000 last year.) I'm also crocheting the Honey Ripple Scarf by Burgundy and Blush. What does everyone else have going on?

@Louise Adams my hands do cramp up a bit, especially when I'm working on fine gauge projects like the Izzy dolls. That's why I try to discipline myself to knit in the morning and crochet in the afternoon. They use different muscles, so less chance of overuse issues.
