Soothing Milk Foot Soaks DIY Recipe
The Instagram account I got it from is @scienceofessentials. For the Lavender hydrosol or spray bottle with witch hazel, I actually used a rose water facial mist. 🌿Soothing Milk Foot Soaks Ingredients: -1 cup Baking soda -1/2 cup Citric acid -1/2 cup powdered milk -1/4 cup Epsom salt -1/4 cup Himalayan pink salt -2 tablespoons coconut oil -Optional: 2 tablespoons of dried lavender, rose petals, and calendula or marigold -Lavender hydrosol or spray bottle with witch hazel -10 drops essential oil of choice Directions: -Melt coconut oil on low in double boiler -Meanwhile add all dry ingredients together in bowl. Stir to combine. -Once coconut oil melted, add essential oils. -Slowly pour coconut oil with dry ingredients stirring to combine immediately -Slowly spray hydrosol a few sprays at a time while mixing to get the right texture. I find it typically takes about 15-20 sprays total. *Mixture should hold together when squeezed without crumbling. Do not let become too wet! -Tightly pack into silicone round molds. Let sit in molds and dry for 24 hours before storing and using. To use: Add one foot soak to warm foot bath water. Soak feet for 20 minutes. For extra feet tlc, after the bath scrub feet with pumice stone or salt scrub then apply moisturizer.
