The Child of the Taurean realm.
THE CHILD OF THE QUIET WILDS They say he was not born โ he arrived. Long before the towns, before the fences, before the roads carved the land into squares, the old tribes spoke of a spirit who would walk the earth in human form when the balance between creation and destruction tipped too far. They called him The Quiet One, because the world itself hushed when he stepped into it. But the elders also whispered a second name, one they only spoke during winter ceremonies: โThe Ember Child.โ His Origin According to the oldest stories, a falling star struck the prairie during a night of unnatural stillness. When the hunters reached the crater, they found no fire, no smoke โ only a small child standing barefoot in the center, wrapped in a cloak that looked older than the world. Animals circled him, not as predators or prey, but as witnesses. The deer bowed its head. The wolves lowered their tails. The lion โ a creature no one had ever seen in these lands โ stood guard like a sentinel from another realm. The childโs eyes glowed like coals beneath ash, and behind him shimmered a faint ring of light, as if the heavens had marked him with a sign. His Gift He could not speak at first. Instead, the land spoke through him. When he touched the soil, dying plants revived. When he raised his hand, storms paused midโbreath. When he walked, the wild things followed, sensing something ancient in him โ something older than language. The runes that formed beneath his feet were not human-made. They were the first symbols, the ones creation itself used before alphabets existed. His Purpose The tribes believed he was sent to restore the covenant between humanity and the natural world โ a covenant broken by greed, war, and forgetfulness. But others feared him, calling him an omen of judgment, a herald of the old gods returning to reclaim what was theirs. Some said he was the child of a forgotten angel. Some said he was the last survivor of a vanished people. Some said he was the spirit of the land itself, wearing a human shape so the world would finally listen.
