I Spoke in front of 80 People for SkoolX!
The SKOOLx Final is now available to watch on replay and 😮‍💨 it’s was intense yet rewarding! All 8 of us did a great job! We stepped onto the virtual stage, each with a unique story, message, and perspective. Now I’d love for you to experience our talks and decide which one moved you the most. (I’m hoping that mine moves you the most! 😉) ▶️ Watch the replay here: https://youtu.be/xdsKiaPQf7c 🗳️ Vote for the speaker you connected with the most here: https://forms.gle/kDLtMA1W7HoryhLJ6 ⏰ Voting closes on SUNDAY at 23:59 CET. My legs felt like wet noodles for an hour or two after doing my speech! 🎤 😅 But I’m so thankful for sharing my message and my dream is to get on a stage and perform in front of a live audience!! Exciting!! Thank you to all the other finalists and for all the support! Also, thank you @Ben Sherry for inviting me to this! @Justin Yip loved your talk! Éva Raposa her talk was moving and touched my heart! @Doa Kaptan you did remarkable! @Ayu Masruroh your talk was much needed and I’m happy that you had the courage to share it! Each person delivered a piece of themselves in the talk! All of them were amazing! 🤩

Finish This Sentence 👇
Let’s make this simple today. Finish this sentence: “My book is for the person who…” Example: “My book is for the person who has carried a story for years but keeps waiting until they feel ready.” Don’t polish it. Don’t make it perfect. Just let the real answer come through. Share it in the comments and reflect on it.

@Karen Dennis got it...things like depression, anxiety? I'm finding that the more specific I can be, the easier it is to attract the right people to my work. I'm not great at it, but it's a work in progress

@Shawn Helgerson still working on the publishing part of it, but if you'd like to be a beta reader, that could be an option. Can you DM me your story and what interests you in the book and share your email?

Middle of the Week Check In!
I haven’t done a weekly check in for a bit. So, let’s hear how you all are doing. Where are you in your book creation? Has it been smooth, tough, or in between? Share the wins, the lessons learned and what you feel up for sharing! This is a great time for us to help one another because if you stay stagnant, there’s no growth. Meaning, no book will create itself without the help of a human. So what steps do you need to take in order to finish it?

@Dani Rosenblad James I celebrate myself every day by making nourishing self care a part of my day, so I didn't do anything special, but it felt really good, and I did do a little dance of celebration
Excerpt from my book...
This is an excerpt from the book I'm working on publishing, it's also a story I share with everyone in my Release the Weight that Holds you Back Masterclass. It's a longer post, but full of gems IMO :). If you have any feedback, lemme know! "You may have heard of the story about the Sun and the North Wind arguing about which one is stronger. It’s one of Aesop’s fables. The Sun and the North Wind are engaged in a heated argument about which one of them is stronger, with each of them claiming to be more powerful. As they’re having this argument, a man wearing a thick, heavy cloak walks down a path nearby. The Sun and the North Wind decide to have a competition to settle the matter once and for all. Whichever one of them succeeds in getting the man to take off his cloak will be the winner of the strength challenge. The North Wind says, “Ha, this will be easy! I can easily make this man take off his cloak. Just watch me!” He proceeds to blow as hard as he can in the direction of the man, lifting up leaves and dust in the process. The man wraps his cloak around him even more. The North Wind angrily grabs a corner of the cloak, tugging with all his might. The man responds by holding on tighter and tighter. The Sun now has her turn. She gently shines her rays down on the road the man is walking on. The man takes a deep breath in and out, grateful for the shift in weather as he loosens his grip on the cloak. The sun continues to shine without much effort, with much kindness and joy. The man starts to feel drops of sweat on his neck and on his brow. As he gets warmer and warmer, he takes the cloak off and releases it to the ground as he plops himself down in the shade of a nearby tree. This story reminds us that, in time, gentleness can often be more powerful than force and aggression. In this book, I share with you the steps I took to be able to release the cloak of excess weight that I was holding tightly onto. As long as I allowed the North Wind of my life to toss me around this way and that, as long as I tried to aggressively force myself into better habits, I could not let this cloak go. As soon as I let the Sun of kindness, compassion, and joy shine on me, both from within and from without, only then could I feel comfortable enough to release the chains that kept me stuck in self sabotage.
