@Hygro Scope thanks for the super honest and in depth feedback, really appreciated! I understand the thoughts towards the first track for sure. I think without the context of the genres that inspire it, it can be very jarring. But this was most definitely intentional (to a degree). The idea of the constant switch ups was from 8 bar style Grime (where the track switches every 8 or 16 bars), I've played with this idea a lot for years and am well aware at the faster tempos of my style it can be too much for some. It's also heavily inspired by Footwork, an incredibly erratic genre and, for the uninitiated, very hard to dance to lol. Also Baile Funk, which has the qualities from both previously mentioned genres. This isn't to say I disagree with you, this track is definitely not for everyone, but to give some context behind the intention. I also have learnt a lot from seeing this track through to end, I think there's ways I can implementing these elements from my influences while keeping it more 'danceable'. At the same time, in other tracks I can fully lean into the weirdness and experimentation and not care about the danceabilty. I guess this track sits in a weird in between, which again I think in the future could be executed better. Track 2 is the other side of my style, while still a heavy Footwork influence, the general vibe is much more that of rolling jungle or DnB. Really allowing you to sit with the ideas due to the drawn out structure (in comparison to track 1 that is)
